Clear Channel Might Sell All DC Radioers - 1/14 - DCRTV (http://www.dcrtv.com) has a very well-placed source who tells us that Clear Channel is giving very serious thought to unloading all eight of its DC radio stations. And the first to go would be SportsTalk 980, WTEM, probably to Redskins-owner Dan Snyder, whose Red Zebra broadcasting arm owns Triple X ESPN Radio. San Antonio-based Clear Channel, currently in the midst of a buyout to take it private, has been selling stations in small markets. If true, the DC sale, in radio market number eight, would be the radio giant's largest market to be sold-off. Clear Channel owns five FMers here - WWDC, WASH, WMZQ, WBIG, and WIHT. And three AMers - WTNT, WWRC, and WTEM. More as we hear it.....
