Dave, Please Quit Cutting On Fez.

I am normally a Dave supporter, but lately he has been taking a lot of shots at Fezzie and insulting him pretty regularly. That is just not acceptable. :thumbdown:

It was somewhat understandable during slave week (although I still didn't like it), but that bit is mercifully over. Plus, didn't Dave learn ANYTHING from the way that debacle ended? We listeners don't like people abusing Fez.

We all love Fez and want him back at 100% as soon as possible. Dave's frequent insults are not helping, nor are they appropriate. It is the Ron & Fez show, and Ron is the only person allowed to take shots at Fez (because we know it is out of humor and love).

Dave - Please stop insulting Fez.

As I mentioned the follow-up post, this is not a Dave Hate thread. Plus, this is an important point and it really shouldn't be buried in a thread that few people read - at least people that care.

This is a comment on an aspect of the show that should, and needs to be changed. I don't want Dave fired, his pay cut, pulled off the air, etc. I just really want him to stop insulting Fez. It is not his place.

Many of us fans do not like it, and it needs to be expressed out loud.

EDIT: Lord this is sad. 75% of the posts are me trying to explain the thread and that I don't hate Dave.

Mods: If you want to delete this thread, go ahead. However, this is an important point to me and don't know how else to broach the issue.

And I also think that Ron and Fez are more than capable of putting him in his place if it comes to it.

After listening to today's show, I think Fezzie is funnier than ever. I kind of came to an understanding of where he's at comedically. For so many years he was the flamboyant over the top motormouth comedianne. But that didn't really show of his comedic depth. He's exploring his ability to slow it down, lay down threads and pull it back after a while.

I think that leaves an opening for an over the top flamboyant motormouth. Enter Dave. So I see no reason why Ron and Fez can't let Dave fill that void while Fezzie charts new territory.

Regardless, today's show was one of the funniest things I have EVER heard.No outlandish gimmicks, no crazy bets, no fake drama. Just straight out riffing, hanging out, ball busting. Everyone was on the top of their game, and it bested (in my opinion) all of the WNEW, FreeFM, or JFK shows I've heard.

I applaud the team! Well done!

I agree, today ruled! There was some seriously funny stuff and Fez was really stepping up.

The only thing that was "off" were the periodic shots at Fez from Dave. I think Dave is great on-air and has stepped into a pretty good role.

I am in complete agreement with MadMatt on this one, and Hippo nailed it too. It's always been an unwritten rule that the only one allowed to tool on Fez is Ron. The fact that Dave laughs so heartily when Ronnie's busting Fez's balls and even joins in (like calling Fez "mental" today) kind of crosses a line to me and shows disrespect.

I was fortunate enough to be around the studio quite a bit back in the old WNEW days and the level of respect (and in some cases, fear) that the interns and producers had for Fez was amazing. Just because he's had some health problems in the past few years is no excuse to view him as 'weak' and pounce on him. He's still deserving of the same admiration and high regard as always, and I'm positive that once he feels well enough, Fez will be putting people in their place.

If there is anyone out there that has had any kind of heart operation, they themselves know how it affects your life for at least 3 years. Fez had stents put in,and if you think back was that when he fell off the ha ha`s. I had a 6 arthery by-pass and lost my sense of humor for 3-4 years. Fez will be back on the top of his game, and he wont put up with ESD much longer. I believe that it is important to Fez`s state of mind that he be the one to put Dave in his place!

I think you're confusing that with Fez's second stent. Dave was just a listener when Fez had his heart attack.

I agree 100%. I think Dave is hilarious sometimes, but when he cackles and calls Fez insane or mental under his breath, I sort of expect Ron to unload on him, but he only does it occasionally. I'd love for him to ask Dave if he wants it to be the "Ron & Dave" show one more time. That cracked me up.

I like the Fez i hear on the old replays when they are on vacation etc. I wish him the best and hope he feels up to the task to insert himself more. I havent been able to listen to the show this week because I have een in Vegas lossing money hand over fist, so i cannt comment on this week. I will say i think Dave has filled a void in the show and most of his bits are funnny.

Fez is definately getting his traction back and I think Dave is threatened by that. Dave did fill the void while Fez was off his pins which was great. He may have thought that this temporary step up would eventually become a permanent situation for him if Fez didn't come around. Sometimes I sense an underlying anger hence the snide remarks, pizza incident etc. It's disrespectful. Of course this is my humble opinion.
