NWA Pro Wrestling returns to Lodi, New Jersey for their first event of 2008 on February 2nd. Belltime is 7:30pm at the Knights of Columbus in an event entitled "Superbowl Slugfest." Talent set to appear on this event include NWA Pro Television Champion Judas Young, NWA Television Tag Team Champions The Playa's Club, "The Re-Enforcer" Andrew Anderson, "Simply the Best" Damian Dragon, "Sure Thing" Ryan Wing, ROH's Top of the Class prodigies Pelle Primeau, Ernie Osiris, Kyle Davis and Alex Payne plus many more. Matches to be announced in the following weeks, but both the NWA Pro Television and Tag Team Television championships will be defended in Lodi. Our Colours TV camera's will be in the house to document all the events that transpire. NWA Pro has also announced there schedule for 2008 with many more dates still scheudled to be released. Here's the full calendar thus far. All events have a 7:30pm belltime unless otherwise noted.

NWA Pro East "Superbowl Slugfest" Results from 2/2/08

NWA Pro East presented its first show of 2008 on February 2nd at the Lodi Knights of Columbus in Lodi, New Jersey. 104 fans witnessed "Superbowl Slugfest" live. The show saw the NWA Pro East debuts of several new talents and blue chip prospects from the northeast region. We at NWA Pro East would to like personally thank the ROH Wrestling Academy for coming on board and look forward to a strong working relationship with them Official results of the show are as follows.

"Simply the Best" Damian Dragon defeated Ivan Radske

Franciz destroyed 2 challengers in a handicap match

Mac Daddy Flex pinned Xander Paige

Minyon defeated "Sugarfoot" Alex Payne and Kyle Durgan in a triple threat match

"The Answer" Pete Simmons beat "Sure Thing" Ryan Wing

The Playa's Club (Davey Boy Bling & "Juicy" Justin Corino) retained the NWA Pro East Television Tag Team Championships by defeating "Team ROH" Pelle Primeau and Mitch Franklin

In the Main Event NWA Pro East Television Champion Judas Young succesfully defended the title by defeating "Inferno" Danny Gimundo with a Punk Rock Drop. Gimundo had to be stretchered out of the building due to the devastion of the move.

Hey guys! Just figured I'd give you all an update as to what's going on with NWA Pro East...

- The Superbowl Slugfest will be available on DVD by our next show which takes place on March 29th.

- Our MySpace has been given an overhaul update. Go and check out the new look to the site on www.myspace.com/nwaproeast

- A TV show is in the works. More to be announced as information comes in.

- Steel Cage Rage is coming to Newark, NJ! Be there on April 4th for what is always our biggest show of the year at the JFK Recreation Center. Card to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

- Our March 29th show's card is being developed as we speak. There is a rumor it might be focused primarily on the NWA Pro TV Tag Team Titles.

- For those of you who are into wrestling belts, here's a look at our titles, designed by Wrestling Inc.

- The Superbowl Slugfest will be available on DVD by our next show which takes place on March 29th.


Due to graphic content, Main Event Productions was forced to cut the final portion of the main event from the DVD. This means production had to stop and be restarted after the edit was made. Unfortunately, this **may** result in the DVD release being pushed back to Steel Cage Rage in Newark on April 4th. Every reasonable (and some unreasonable) effort is being made to have it ready for the 29th though.

Charlotte, NC (March 27, 2008) – The National Wrestling Alliance® is pleased to announce the addition of 4 time World Heavyweight Champion Sid Vicious to it’s regular roster. The announcement was made today during a conference call that was called by Vicious’ Management and NWA™ Director Ed Chuman also participating in the call were International Reporters from pro wrestling related publications and websites.


“I am happy to be associated with the NWA™. As you know I started with them some 20 years ago and I’m looking forward to our future. I have seen the NWA™ Wrestling Showcase and I am impressed with the program and the guys. The last 7 years have been extremely rough on me. I love this industry and to have that taken away from me when I was on top, well you can imagine how a hit like that feels. I’m coming in with the NWA™ to show the world that this will be the greatest comeback in pro wrestling – ever!” States Vicious.


Vicious starts his run on the NWA™ Wrestling Showcase on April 18, 2008 in Lincoln, RI at the Twin Rivers Casino and the following night April 19th at the Oceanfront Arena in Wildwood, NJ.


Additional to this news, the NWA™ and Colours TV (Dish Network Ch. 9407) has agreed to move the NWA™ Wrestling Showcase one hour ahead starting at 8:00 pm Eastern on April 2nd.
