in my hunt for a wii, today, i was able to get my hands on 3 of them.
one for my wife and i, one for my mom (and her dancing with the stars game), and a 3rd one in error.
turns out that i sold the extra one to somebody for exactly what i paid for it.
my wife was kinda upset, because she thought that we could have put it on ebay. we have found them starting at $400. i paid $250 for it.
did i do the right thing by selling to somebody who really wanted it, or should i have put it on ebay and made a profit by fucking somebody who wants one.?
i know this is minor shit compared to other stuff in this forum, but i feel strongly that i did the right thing. what do you think? i welcome jokes, as well.

You could've sold it for more money but it didn't seem to really bother you-or you didin't even notice it at all until your wife brought it to your attention.
I take that as a sign to mean that you didn't really have an motive of making more money from it.
I think you did the right thing by cutting someone a break and letting them get one easier than they probably could have.

i probably would have done the same as you. yes, you could have made money, but to me its not worth the hassle. my wife also would have made fun of me about it.

Selling it for more wouldn't have been the wrong thing, but doing what you feel is right, is always the best way to go.

Very well put PapaBear.
IMO you did the right thing. You passed-on the deal you got and saved a friend a trip to the store. You didn't lose anything and you helped out a pal.
Besides, there is no guarantee you would make $400+ on ebay. Hopefully your wife won't be too much of a pain about the issue.

people still can't get these?
i don't think it's a matter of doing the right thing or not, it's just personal choice and either would have been ok. "there is nothing
either good or bad, but thinking makes it so"

if you check the board rules you'll see your response should have been "what papabear said".

Either way you're a good egg. It's yours and you can give it away for free, or sell it for a million dollars if someone out there is willing to pay whatever price you set.

Nope. I was told at the beginning of January, the Wii wouldn't be available here where I live until mid-February on a consistent basis. Sucks to be in South Jersey.
Or Jersey in general. I hope we get attacked soon, so I can have an excuse to leave this shithole state.

they are still hard to get. but it seems that "gamestop" gets them in every wednesday.
most places still give you the "we dont know when they are coming" bullshit line.
they know. they just dont want 600 people lined up at their door.
yeah, i dont like price gougers (sp). scum of the earth, imo. ticket brokers can be lumped into this category as well.
i dunno. im a big believer in karma.

You could of sold it on Ebay and bought some extra stuff with the cash or something.
My bro was able to get 3 Wiis in Dec. He sold one on Ebay (i think he made and extrz $200 or something) and sold the other 2 to his friends that were also looking to get one (ofcourse he only jacked up the price by $75) before he put them up on ebay.
Did you do the right thing??? That all depends on you and it seems like you feel you did the right thing, so good for you.
