Hiya Buddays!

As many of you know, I've been involved as a participant for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer since 2004. The Avon Walk is a fundraising project for the Avon Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity committed to providing uninsured, underinsured, underserved and minority women with health care and opportunities for education and awareness in their communities. Last year's New York Walk raised over $10 million all by itself, with a lot of the money going back into the communities that participants walked through.

Each year, because of the generosity of many of you, I've been able to raise more than the $1800 I've committed to raising for each of my Walk events. You folks ROCK.

This year, I'll be a Walker in the 2008 New York City event on October 4th and 5th.

Please, help a budday out, and consider making a donation to my 2008 Walk. Click here to make your donation online (http://info.avonfoundation.org/site/TR/Walk2008/NewYork?px=1252235&pg=personal&fr_id=1660). Any amount will help and you can pay in installments.

If you'd prefer to write a check or money order, please PM me so we can set something up. You have to fill out a form and send a check for the entire amount.

Thanks in advance for your support.

Please note, this was approved by 2 Admins and a mod, so I am not doing this without anyone's OK.(Thank you to JustJon, Mikeyboy and HotTub; you're the greatest.)

We took it down temporarily so that I could figure out how to edit a few things out.

It's back up as of this morning.

I'm in. I prefer happy, healthy boobs to sad & sick boobs any day.

I'd encourage everybody who could spare a few shekels to donate. One - because it is a great cause and two - because (I know) it is a hard thing to get people to open their wallets even for the best of causes so when somebody in the R&F family needs a little help for one of theirs if we all do a little bit then its done & we can move on.

My cousin-in-law does the walk also. I donate every year. She's cancer free for 5 years now. Her husband commited suicide 3 years ago. I will donate for you and her.

As of today, February 22, you lovable fuckos have donated $275 to my fundraising account.

Thank You.

I now need to raise $1525 to meet my commitment.

Keep the donations coming, folks. You're making a difference!

With bikini season on its way quickly (hell, it's supposed to be near 80 degrees today), please consider making a donation to the Avon Foundation's Breast Cancer Crusade to keep those lovely breasts you love to goggle happy, healthy and cancer-free for years to come!

Those of you who've already made a donation have made a difference. You've also made my day.

Please also note that I've corrected a couple of mistakes in my page and posted a photo that was taken this past January at the kickoff event.

Yes, that's me, wearing a pair of pink sequined kitty-ears, standing next to a giant pink foot.

Thank you all again for your support, encouragement and donations.

BUMP!

Just giving you folks an update on the AWBC ... next weekend, the AWBC in the Rocky Mountains will be happening. I won't be walking in that one, although I may consider it one year ... when I am in better shape and if I train for the altitude.

Anyway, it's going to mark 5 down and 4 to go for the season, which is pretty exciting.

I spent an evening last week fundraising with a bunch of my teammates at a trade show at the PNC Bank Arts Center's catering facility. It was a lot of fun, although it didn't have the greatest yield for funds (I think we each made about $40) ... and I still have to send that money to Avon.

If you've been considering making a donation to my walk, but you haven't yet, please donate. While no amount is too small (REALLY; I had someone donate $5 one year) larger donations will help me meet my goal faster.

As of today, I still need about $1500 to make my initial fundraising goal of $1800. So, if there are 15 of you who have $100 to donate, please make that donation. (Alternately, I'll take 150 of you with $10 ... just make your donation online, please, so that more of your $10 can go towards the cause!)

Thank you all again ... and if the Art of the Topless would like to help me get together to do a fundraiser, I would love to work with them. (Think about it, a band with that name doing a charity concert for a breast cancer charity ... isn't that perfect?)
