Mikey, you are now and forever the man for your many endeavors above and beyond the call of duty for years, and if that sounds like asskissing, maybe it is, but its not to curry favor, its out of genuine respect. You kept the train a rollin during the DC days, and for that alone, I can't thank you enough. So I will defer to your logic and clear head and the fact that you were on the stick in the studio.

But I based my comments on the fact Ronnie brought it to light after he hung up, saying something to the effect of "no one spoke up when Anthony was on".

To be honest, I sincerely need some kind of an FAQ to this whole situation, because there is so much insider code that maybe is common knowledge if you follow a dozen show message boards(which I don't have time and doubt I would chose to do if I did). So I don't know if what he was saying warranted rebuttal, but it seemed like Ringmaster Ronnie wouldn't have minded some if it came down. As I said, you were there, I wasn't, so I'll defer to your opinion, but that was my take.

I sat out this thread for a while till I collected my thoughts and assessed the situation after hearing a lot of the parties involved. First off I want to state that the fact that their was a show dedicated to "board unity" when there are numerous message boards is an assinine concept. I am not attempting to further beat up verbally on Mafia Life Chris, but this whole thing did seem like an attempt to get attention for STI, or whatever you call yourselves. If there was truly going to be "board unity" then that means that everyone gathers under a common banner, ala ronfez.net, ronandfezshow.net, etc. Imagine if during the American Revolution every state cited the problems of the other states over and over again. Well, this year we would be trying to elect a new Prime Minister.

Having stated that I will say that your attempt to throw a party under the banner of unity came out very awkward. I cant say for a fact, but I assume that you did not contact any of the other heads of of the other boards to run this party. In fact you seemed to try to be the single handed champion of all things Ron and Fez. In announcing this party the way that it was announced put a lot of people off. Times right now are very strange.

Back to the point at hand, I felt embarrassed the fact that their was a need for Ron to even do a 'sitdown' show. It did not resolve anything, and might have of made things even worse. Look folks we are all fans of the show, but that fact alone doesnt mean that things should be fine for that fact. Everyone is different in how they do things. Some people are straight up and tell you the facts, some are passive aggressive, and some are just downright beligerent. These are the facts of all these boards. People go to where they want to go to feel more comfortable. But to have a show dedicated to bitching about what one board does and what another doesnt is just silly.

I found it a complete turn off for Anthony to call in and plant the blame on Silera and Alkey was wrong. He was trying to make two people the villian is just wrong. The problem is that Anthony didnt want to site what people at whackbag did. Sure he said something close to the effect that others are involved, but he took a lot of it out on those two. And it was fucking sad. When I got in the car today to get to work I turned off O and A. I couldnt believe that he interjected himself into this forray the way that he did and I feel that he helped to exacerbate the situation. Ronnie said it best that he shouldnt be concerning himself with what people are writing about him on messageboards.

I think what people really need is time away from the situation to evaluate how the fuck it came to this. Then take steps to improve the situation. And a party is not the quick fix, especially one titled "unity party." People have a lot of animosity towards one and other right now, and a party wont fix that. What is needed here is some levity, and some time to think.

I understand that things are different for the members of the message boards that are from the New York area. You all have been Ron and Fez fans and Opie and Anthony fans longer than most of the rest of us. You are also able to attend the parties and meet other fans and show people and become friends. That's great for you guys, but one of the downsides of such closeness is that there will be infighting.

Those of us who aren't in the area of the show's broadcast simply turn on the shows, listen, and turn it off when we want to. It's really that simple. I'm not gonna complain about guests they decide to have. I'm not gonna complain about show topics. If I don't care for something they do, I simple turn it off.

I only post on this message board, and I post here because I like to discuss the things brought up on the show. Yes it is sort of like a family here and I consider myself a VERY DISTANT cousin. I know I treat the people out here well. That's just the way I am. When I see members talking shit about other board members, I stay out of it. I really don't care. It's not my business.

Why in fuck's name can't fans be fucking fans. warts and all. and don't have the management nor "stars/mental patients" reading and judging every word.

I don't think it's an issue of fans being fans, I think it's mainly an issue of fans being human beings. It's not a message board thing, its a people thing, people overall always get into shit like this cause not everyone can get along with each other. You have people you hate at work, at school, in your group of friends even. Overall most people can get along cause they can just ignore these people but you always have the select few that need to just stir the fuckin pot. You have co-workers that dislike each other but they just dont talk, then you have the few who need to be dicks and spread rumors around or sabotage them in some way.

I dont know the specifics of this current drama but its nothing new, it happened on oa.com, wackbag, cdih, ymb, and every other msg board every frequented by our types. It also happens on every single message board on the web, every single newsgroup, every single setting that human beings are involved in.

The other issue is the "look at me" crowd who think they are celebrities because they have Anthony's email address, or so and so's cell phone number and now they are fuckin special. Also the people who take it way too far and start ruining each others personal lives, there is just no excuse for shit like that and you are the lowest form of fuckin shit for doing stuff like that. If you can't have an adult debate and be able to disagree without bringing out personal and hurtful shit, then just quit life.

Then you have the attention seeking crowd who raises holy hell cause someone didnt pay enough attention to them. Cause you got invited to Arelis and Pats house and she didnt spend the whole night paying attention to you. Or because some radio personality didnt say hello to you at a party. Or vice versa, I had a beer with mikeyboy, now im in the clique. Fuckin get over it, we're all just a bunch of people with some kinda of similarity, we like a radio show, or we're friends with a few people here.

I don't care if I go out to a party at Arelis's or post here and I dont know 90% or don't like 75% of you, I just dont involve myself with those people then. If there are gonna be 100 people at the party and I only know or like 3 of them, then ill chill with those 3 and thats it, why fuckin torture yourself and others by needing to involve yourself in something or someone you dont like?

We have enough stress in our daily lives with bills, work, kids, wives, husbands, health, etc. This is supposed to be fun, we're supposed to fuckin relax, sit back, bullshit, meet new people, etc. Why make this a stressful enviornment as well? There are so many good experiences to be had here, have them! My greatest regret from OA.com was spending too much time defending people or the board and not enough time meeting more people and having more fun. I'm seriously saying, dont waste your time on this, please I am begging you, cause a year from now you will just hate yourself for this.

There are so many different boards, so many different people, different forums, etc. If you dont like sports, dont post in the sports forum, you have 20 other forums. You dont like person A, ignore their posts. Is it really that hard?

I get shit now from friends for being on pal talk, why? If I enjoy it, why the fuck do you care if I am on there, if you dont like it, dont go there. I dont get it cause so many people that I have encountered there are fuckin awesome.

Since I started coming out again to parties, I have met a lot of old friends and made some new ones, I wont list off names but you know who you are. I'd also like to add that a lot of the garbage he was ranting about had absolutely nothing to do with Ron, Fez or the "Unity sitdown" at all, nor was anything O or A supposed to be brought up because it wasn't about that show or anyone's issues with it/them.It was supposed to be lighthearted ridiculous radio on a Sunday afternoon. Up until that phone call, nothing referring to him or his show was mentioned except a messageboard...there was a lot of "WTF" going on during his maniacal tirade. It would have been rude to Ron & Fez to go down that path with him, not to mention it would take another 3 hours since he'd want to go back & discuss 6 year old posts.

I would also like to thank Ron & Fez for giving me the best seat in the house - sandwiched between Silera & Mikeyboy. Life was good.

I don't think it's an issue of fans being fans, I think it's mainly an issue of fans being human beings. It's not a message board thing, its a people thing, people overall always get into shit like this cause not everyone can get along with each other. You have people you hate at work, at school, in your group of friends even. Overall most people can get along cause they can just ignore these people but you always have the select few that need to just stir the fuckin pot. You have co-workers that dislike each other but they just dont talk, then you have the few who need to be dicks and spread rumors around or sabotage them in some way.

I dont know the specifics of this current drama but its nothing new, it happened on oa.com, wackbag, cdih, ymb, and every other msg board every frequented by our types. It also happens on every single message board on the web, every single newsgroup, every single setting that human beings are involved in.

The other issue is the "look at me" crowd who think they are celebrities because they have Anthony's email address, or so and so's cell phone number and now they are fuckin special. Also the people who take it way too far and start ruining each others personal lives, there is just no excuse for shit like that and you are the lowest form of fuckin shit for doing stuff like that. If you can't have an adult debate and be able to disagree without bringing out personal and hurtful shit, then just quit life.

Then you have the attention seeking crowd who raises holy hell cause someone didnt pay enough attention to them. Cause you got invited to Arelis and Pats house and she didnt spend the whole night paying attention to you. Or because some radio personality didnt say hello to you at a party. Or vice versa, I had a beer with mikeyboy, now im in the clique. Fuckin get over it, we're all just a bunch of people with some kinda of similarity, we like a radio show, or we're friends with a few people here.

I don't care if I go out to a party at Arelis's or post here and I dont know 90% or don't like 75% of you, I just dont involve myself with those people then. If there are gonna be 100 people at the party and I only know or like 3 of them, then ill chill with those 3 and thats it, why fuckin torture yourself and others by needing to involve yourself in something or someone you dont like?

We have enough stress in our daily lives with bills, work, kids, wives, husbands, health, etc. This is supposed to be fun, we're supposed to fuckin relax, sit back, bullshit, meet new people, etc. Why make this a stressful enviornment as well? There are so many good experiences to be had here, have them! My greatest regret from OA.com was spending too much time defending people or the board and not enough time meeting more people and having more fun. I'm seriously saying, dont waste your time on this, please I am begging you, cause a year from now you will just hate yourself for this.

There are so many different boards, so many different people, different forums, etc. If you dont like sports, dont post in the sports forum, you have 20 other forums. You dont like person A, ignore their posts. Is it really that hard?

I get shit now from friends for being on pal talk, why? If I enjoy it, why the fuck do you care if I am on there, if you dont like it, dont go there. I dont get it cause so many people that I have encountered there are fuckin awesome.

Since I started coming out again to parties, I have met a lot of old friends and made some new ones, I wont list off names but you know who you are. Plus theres so many people whom I would like to meet and talk to, so why cant people do that instead of fuckin diving into a pool of people that you dont like? My intention was not to pile on Chris while I was in the studio, but to honestly present the reasons why people haven't gotten behind the unity party. Not doing so would be a disservice to Chris and the event. I was hoping an open dialogue might be able to save the party and just make it an event where the listeners can come if they want, without any additional baggage created by "unity" or people labeling boards or groups because they do or do not decide to come. After listening to the whole show, I don't know how to feel about Ant's phone call. I think it sounds like he had some points but he was just so completely frustrated he didn't word things well.

Also, the fact that he was addressing paltalk stuff as it was happening was a little pathetic. But then again, none of us have taken the beating the on air talent has.

That's the thing, and one of my points -- the animosity largely (but not completely) stays on the boards and Paltalk. People generally get along well at the events, and if they can't get past their differences in person, they just stay away from each other at the events.

Who is saying MLC can't promote his game here? All the board has ever asked is that people clear it with mods before they want to advertise something. MLC did that way back in the day, hence why you continually see threads promoting the game, offering for people to sign up, and even ML banner ads. I think the difference is that these guys have been endorsed by Ronnie and Fez and their work is a part of the show. Mafia Life and Mafia Life Cigars have nothing to do with intros, lead ins, or heavily requested songs.

As was part of the sit down, Zagman said that ESD routinely brings his personal life on the air. And his friends from before he became an on-air personality can't separate The Ron and Fez Show from his Real life. They don't understand that Dave is a now a professional radio personality and people will commend and criticize his comments on air like any other show personality; especially when it looks like he is overeagerly taking Fez's place.

I agree. I enjoy her greatly when she is on Ron and Fez, she is very funny and adds a lot. However her boy friend has made the decision to put her in this spot with his hypocrisy. He has to run a message board, he has to control what the fans say, and he has to have everyone love his show.
