View Full Version : Earl Douglas: Liar, or King of Semantics?

I've always noticed about Earl when he lies that he always finds a way to sound somewhat credible. Dont get me wrong, its clear that hes lying, but theres always a shred of legitimacy. For example, on Friday when Ron busted him for canceling his call-in to O&A, he lied about not hearing anything by saying he thought Ron meant did he hear anything about the rescheduling.......wow.
To make a long story short, I think Earl should leave the radio business and go to law school. Its really the only place where his innate talent to stretch the truth and his potential to weasel out of a bad situation can truly be realized. He may not be the best with legal principles, but he'll confuse the hell out of a jury. Maybe Mikeyboy can get him a job.

The truth about Earl can be found in this thread (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=48674&highlight=mentally+unstable), which is almost two years old.
I've felt that way about him for about 7 years, though.

Only problem with him being a lawyer is that he'd have to bring an EMT team with him to every courtroom...The guy would be passing out left and right.

HAHA!
Earl is a mess, but I love hearing him being dressed down on air.

Earl is delusional. If he doesn't lie outright, he offers lies of omission or plays the semantic game.
I don't think he is a bad guy, but he is obviously in too deep and can't handle the demands of his job.
IMO - He doesn't know what else to do, he doesn't have another job to try, he is afraid of loosing his money and livelihood, so he stays where he is and keeps screwing up. The hole is just going to get deeper and deeper.

Neither. He is a very 'young thinking' person and will hopefully live another 100 years.
