Just about any stock index fund if it returns 8-9% (the historical average over long periods of time) will get you close. You'd probably have to save $250-300 to get to a million.

If it's any consolation ... Z-Mann has been prominantly involved in the show and there was a segment with Z-Mann's buddy who was a bad-financial-Dr. Phil

Best recap ever.

Shawshank is a movie I will watch when it is on. I know most people will stop for that one, but it's a damn good flick.

EDIT: ANC beat me to it!

'The Fifth Element' is a guilty pleasure for me, and I will watch it whenever it comes on. Even though Chris Tucker is in it and I generally hate his stuff.

I do the same thing ... and I ask outloud why I have wasted the last hour on a movie I've seen 100 times on TV no less ... but then I will do it a month later when it's on.

Feel free to attack me but a guilty pleasure is Young Guns. Bad movie, yet for some reason it's nostalgic for me.

I would add 'Silverado' to Costner's resume, but think Ron is right otherwise. Dances with Wolves is so plodding I have never made it through the whole thing.

I liked 'No Country...' a lot, but I almost hope it doesn't win the Oscar because I like some other of the Coen Bros. movies a little more. They should have had an Oscar before now.

I'm surprised they never mention the early silly one's too - like Sleeper or Take the money and run.

From blog intro:

"Tommy Z is a humorist who grew up in the bowels of New Jersey, parented by an eccentric Polish father and a neurotic Italian mother. With that kind of upbringing, what else could this man possibly be other than a humorist? Tom is also a well-known feature writer for Cigar Magazine and other national publications. "

Zman's R&F appearances are similar to how Dave's first were. He came on and the boards were up in arms screamin to have him off the show... Ron then hears this and puts Dave on more and people busting on dave becomes a bit, then he suddenly gets some supporters and then it's 50-50 and then he's on the show full time.

Zman's been on more frequently lately and the outrage about his appearances are lessening a little. He played his perfectly annoying role well today.

Wasn't that also the story line for Fez back in the Ron and Ron days? Ron B. though he was hysterical and didn't care what anyone else said.

Epo told me fez was wildly popular in Florida.

I have nothing against Zman, but I think these longer appearances aren't really adding much to the show. Maybe if they gave him a bit to do (like a movie review or something).

Yeah I think he was popular, in Ron B's unauthorized autobiography it was said he was one of the sports glamour girls. I think it was that Ron Diaz had issues with Fez that Ron B played off of. Like when Ron B took a vaction and when he came back Fez was fired for staring at Diaz.

that makes sense about Fez. I thought I heard Ron B. say that "Ron Diaz and the other comics never thought Fez was as funny as i did" ... or something to that effect.

I agree with you on the bit thing. Z-man needs something.

I think he should be treated like an unofficial intern.
Like Benecio wax in the old days.

Have him turn in fake commercials.
or write possible interview questions for unmasked guests.

Or maybe just have him do his lame impression of Fez and do fake fezatorials.

So I have the show on a huge delay (about an hour), I am just now listening to the movie discussion. God damn, this is the type of talk I love, both feeling and fact all in one...
I fuckin love the Coens, best film makers (today) period. I kinda wish Zmann would keep a lid on it a littel bit, but if I was there I would probably be blurting shit out like that also.
