I'm pretty sure this is the answer. It was a Thursday before Labor Day, so they were going to be on vacation for a few days. Fez was out sick. Ron got a phone call in the middle of the show. Dave tried to finish an interview, went to break, then the show came back in Best-of mode.

Yeah. That's right. Fez was already out sick, so when Ron got that phone call everyone assumed something bad happend to Fez.

That was a hell of an afternoon. Talk about a panic and speculation on the boards!

I think Mikeyboy was probably inundated with messages like "Is everything OK?" or "Do you know what happened?"

I think this is obvious to most of the people here, but because Ron never revealed exactly what happened, it is his personal life and not information any of us are entitled to. Please do not use this thread to speculate on what happened.
