Thanks mikeyboy, I remember listening to both of those shows, and loving them.

The xm show Melinda killed, and the advice she was giving Dave was hysterical, especially at the end about her being a complete liar. I remember when he arrived at fm he and Melinda were barely coherent. slurring, babbling, but both very funny, Dave could not tell time if I recall correctly.



It's amazing to think not even a year later where his life is now.

Opie doesn't do these things with his girl (who I met at a Norton show last year and was charming) because it appears they have more of a life then that. Shut your rich mouth if your going to expose people in your personal life then take the B.S. like a man.

However, don't act like she's now some untouchable super-private chick, then give out the SSN of anybody who runs boards that don't filter her name or the event where Anthony met her. It was actually the first time I heard her on the radio;and she can hold her own and does have some ha ha`s. I have to admit that it bothered me that she got everyone a present except for Back Earl.; her reason "because he`s a liar". When Earl tried to say something about that she replies "shedup", boy can you tell that she is mentally unstable Anthonies girl; his favorite word "SHUTUP". If Back Earl is a liar or not, that is Ron and Fez`s problem to deal with! Or is that all just a skit? That is all that bothered me about "sweet Melinda" other than that she seems to be alright.

I get that we all miss Fez and want him to be more part of the show, but that has nothing to do with who's in studio or not. I agree that having guests, even uber-fans, on the show is a great thing.....to an extent. I enjoy the bits and contests as a fan of the show. Its just that when it consumes the entire day or week its a little much. Again a lot of people on this board don't think so cause they know the people on a personal level.

To the point, I think its absurd that your boyfriend is screaming like a mad man about privacy and people attacking his friends and loved ones personally....then she goes on the show and exposes herself again. You can't have it both ways, like it or not if your gonna be on then your subject to comment about the show.

I never said it was a new thing. I simply stated that there is more of other personalities on the show and a lot less of Fez. For whatever reason (Fez health) it is not as good a show (again, in my opinion) with less Fez.

Dave and Earl are fine but in smaller doses.

I understand that the show always has involved listener interaction, but there is such a heavy focus now on the messageboards. It's narrow-casting. I never aspire to be part of the show and my opinions stated in a messageboards are not meant to get my attention from any show personnel. I come here to read and post opinions.

The idea of "buddies" didnt come from not having buddies in the studio with them. I dont know any of these people,and dont go to events(even tho I'm close enough to), so I have no friendships to defend. This is the way the show has always been(I started listening to it when they first came to NYC), and its always been better when more people hang out.
Melinda had a fun visit today, no one said she would be back every day for the rest of the shows existance,but I look forward to the next time she has the time to visit again. The thing is tho even people who arent the most interesting of guests can make great radio, cause Ron and Fez are still the the ring masters.

The typical "hole" is the girl sitting there trying to keep the male radio hosts tame and scold them when they get a little too out of hand. She wasn't filling that role at all. She was very funny and held her own with anyone else in that studio. It was the first time I heard her on the radio at that great of length and I was impressed.
