View Full Version : Ron and Fez featured songs request
Has anyone been keeping track of all - or possibly any of the songs featured on the show? There is one song I have heard twice on the show that I just loved and would love to find the artist. Unfortunately I know not the lyrics. Thanks.
If you heard it recently, I am thinking it is a song by Sleeves or Letica.
Atoms, Motion and the Void (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28) - Ronfez.net's forum for Sleeves
http://www.atomsmotion.com/ - Sleeve's personal website
It could also be Perrynoid.
If it is a Christmas parody song, that is Billy Staples.
If it is about the pope, that is Bobo.
If it is death metal, that is Death Metal Moe's Unhallowed.
Does it contain large amounts of cowbell? That's Postwhores
I will sound like an idiot but the song has a "yea" or "hey" in the lyrics. It almost sounds like reggae style. I heard the song months ago and was not recording the episodes at that timeframe. Now I just have a partial melody in my head. Thanks for the info.

Rock And Roll Part II says "Hey" a lot but I wouldn't call it reggae.
But they have discussed Gary Glitter a few times.
I hope that helps.

While we are asking, I am pretty sure it was on R&F but may have been on O and A. I was in the middle of doing some stuff around the house while listening to 202 and thought I heard a Beastie Boy-esque song. I can't remember what time or anything else but somebody saying they can't get enough of that kind of music after the track. May have been sarcastic maybe not. None the less I would like to give the whole song a listen while it has my full attention

I'm guessing it was Yah Mos Def. They're a Philly band, and fans of the show.

YMD was the one I was looking for. I am not sure if original posters question was answered.
"Global Liberation Army" was the song they played. I went to youtube and checked out the songs they had up.
Thanks for the help buddays.

What's the best way to record the shows? I hate missing because of work sometimes. :wallbash:

xmfan(dot)com has a bunch of threads on this. People over there have authored programs specifically designed to record from xmonline or xmpcr. I used one called conrec for a long time when I had my pcr. I also use jetaudio, adobe audition, or goldwave. There is another free program most people use but the name of it escapes me right now.
Good luck.

Not sure if that's the technical term but the song was fantastic - I recall R&F playing the entire song. Very catchy song that's killin me for not recalling the lyrics. However if I heard it again, would recognize it immediately.
Thanks everyone!

If you remember what day it was played, you might get lucky and find a mention of it in the listening thread. I've found a song or two that way.
