Persuade me who to vote for in tomorrow's primary. So far the candidates haven't convinced me, maybe you guys can. I'll even listen to you Ron Paul types, but don't expect much.
I'm up for grabs. Tell me who you think I should vote for and why.

Maybe the best reason I've heard yet, and I've watched 3 debates.

funny.
If you vote McCain, independents will vote Obama from here on out...hence ending Hillary's campaign.

Best Performance you can expect outta McCain is that he won't shit his pants on stage.
Hillary, as much as I loved Bill, is just another DC Zombie. Takes cash by the handful from special interestes, and frankly she cries too much.
Barack is who I have my money on. He is less tainted by the insider-DC-corporate fascism. He isn't perfect, but he is less owned than most. And truley thats about as good as it gets. He also said that if elected he will appoint Debo from the movie Friday to be Secretary of Defense.

In NY, you can only vote your registerted party candidates in the primaries. So Hillary and Obama don't apply here.

If I registered independent so long ago (I can't remember) I'm declaring myself a Democrat and voting for Obama.
If I am still registered as a Republican, I am hoping there is a write in option and will vote for Obama.
If either of those two options are not available, I'm voting for McCain.
Why? I am hoping that McCain and Obama are the nominees. That way we as Americans have the best chance for real debate on the issues, not finger pointing, name calling and swift boating either candidacy.

As a fellow Republican I suggest voting for McCain. He's strong of defense, supports a policy of cutting government spending to coincide with tax cuts, yet he takes a common sense, not religious, approach to social issues (immigration bill aside).
I think what America needs is to see a President who is willing to reach out to the other side of the aisle. Part of me LOVES that the Bush Administration has been able to push around a congress that loathes him, but I think for the good of the nation (and the party) we need someone who can practice a bit more diplomacy.
As an added bonus...he can win in the general election.
Just my thoughts. Vote your conscious, I'm just a message board character.
Side note: I was a Rudy supporter when this election started.

I voted for him once. Before he went bat-shit crazy. But I have a special place in my heart for Alan.

but don't expect much.
This quote, taken out of context, pretty much sums it up no matter who you vote for.
I'm going in for Paul, but admittedly it is more of a protest vote. I'm tired of the way all the other candidates pander and will try to say anything to get elected.
I truly respect and agree with a lot of Ron Paul's views, especially about personal liberties, while completely disagreeing with others. The government has gone way beyond the bounds of its constitutional powers and will eventually risk the power that it exercises legitimately.
So, vote for whomever you would like. Expect more of the same.

Vote McCain. He's the least conservative out of the candidates, excluding Paul.

And I hope you aren't taking the word TAXES into consideration. That would only serve to make you look like a silly goose. Just in case you didn't know, we have been waging a war in Iraq, and it has cost roughly 2 Billion a week. Not a surprise I know. Did you know we (we meaning George I Dumb as fuck Bush) haven't ever put that into an annual budget. So we just charged it on our credit card that is already over limit. So a tax hike is coming just hope you aren't one of the top 1-2% of wealth in this country, then you would actually feel it.

I'll vote for the candidate who makes "Chocolate Face" the Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

John McCain isn't a lunatic like Romney, Huckabee or Ron Paul.
He's not openly religious and comes across as calm, collected and well-informed. He has a quiet sense of confidence and does come across as rational and "presidential."
If you can only vote for your party's candidates, McCain all the way.

Manatee, Limpbaugh and their minions have decided you should vote for "Rhymes With" Mitt Romney.
You have no choice.
You must follow orders.

TEE HEE HEEEE!
It may be hard to believe, but for reasons not delved into on this board, I am well-known and well-liked by a few of the most influential Republicans in Virginia....

Thanks, Scott.
You guys know I don't mean nuthin' and it's always fun coming back to my first board.
What's really strange is after I left here for my first hiatus, when I came back I got to where I had forgotten who all I didn't like.
I take that as a positive sign.
The Republican Party and the country as a whole will be better off when the GOP is freed from the grip of the fringe right-wingers and their pundits like Limpbaugh and Manatee.
One major thing the current situation is bad for the country is these blokes do not seem to be aware that the essence of our government is it requires cooperation and compromise in order to really get things done.
The hard core righties are for none of that, and thus they not only polarize the country with their "more-conservative-than-thou" crap, the peoples' business doesn't get done because of it.
