If ya ask me.... Terry is kinda cashing on Ledgers death.
There's no reason to have that site active at this point. There's nothing to promote yet, but he's banking on the Google-factor.

The site was active before his death. If anything, Heath's death is seriosly damaging the film. There's going to be reshoots on an already expensive film. No, Gilliam won't be cashing in on anything anytime soon.

from my understanding, what was filmed with Heath will remain in the movie as it allows for another actor to also play his role. Also half of a promotional still was released the other day.

This is just ripping off that great Troy McClure classic The Contrabulous Fabtraption of Professor Horatio Hufnagel.

Heath is up in Heaven screaming....."finish the fucking movie,.Terry.....Sorry I was such an asshole and died before finishing the movie but I love you man. "

Even IF the site was active, I stand by my original point.
His death and the google-factor is giving this movie some push. Hence... this thread.

It was already reported that Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Ferrel were signed to complete facets of heath Ledger's character....
now reports have surfaced that filming has resumed....

Tell us a little about what it's going to be? The name has sparked my interest. Will it be an adult movie?

if it has Terry Gilliam, I'm there

am I the only one that LOVED "Tideland" btw? Thought it was genius. I was pissed I didn't see it in theaters because I believed the negative reviews

Weird, I actually attempted to watch that one over the weekend but a special lady friend distracted me around the 22 minute mark...can't say I was really digging it, but I'll probably try again next weekend.

OK, now THAT looks like Gilliam is making up for how underwhelming his last couple of films were...and then some.

Plus Tom Waits plays the Devil.

I still haven't seen Tideland. I was listening to the RBI where Terry Gilliam was promoting it, and Ron said that he and the entire staff really dug it. I'm still going to keep on my to-see list even if Ron wasn't sincere about saying that and was just trying to be courteous to his guest. Brothers Grimm I thought was pretty lousy, though. The worst part about it was how anonymous it felt. If I saw it cold with no foreknowledge of production credits, Gilliam wouldn't have crossed my mind as a director possibility. I felt the same way about Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. Sometimes I guess even the best visual stylists aren't above phoning one in.

Yeah, definitely agree on BG. I was not impressed with Tideland at all. I thought it felt very aimless and unfocused. If anything I forgot about it very quickly after I saw it.

I thought Tideland was a pretty outrageous piece...it wasn't perfect but it was courageous.

I thought Tideland was a piece of shit, and I'm all about the Gilliam. The whole thing felt like he didn't have a fucking clue as to what he wanted to do.

Oh, nevermind, I already said this like 5 posts ago.

then, it's spot on

Tideland was not an attractive piece of work. It certainly delved in areas no one really wants to go, It portrayed a person who learned to cope under strange and unusual circumstances. I would say Gilliam took on an enormous challenge and succeded in treating it honestly.

TIDELAND really felt aimless to me. It felt like an experiment. Like a collection of shots & scenes. Not at all a cohesive movie.

Excellent. A big reason for me to see this film.
