Yeah - this reminds me of a guy whose sole purpose was to be a flamethrower on one of Howard Stern's message boards in order to get people to get in fights with him so they'd get banned - but maybe not - I have a faulty memory sometimes.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but Enter Sandman always came off hollow live. Maybe blowback from the overproduced sound on the black album. Feel free to disagree.

The part I hated about that tune is that they could never match up the kid's voice in the parayer to the live tune. Mostly because they were going to fast, which is understandible when you're playing live.

I know you have the right to your opinion FANDCICK but I cannot allow you to spew such unmitigated falsehoods on this site.

The balance of theatrics vs. playing time is close to perfect in a Metallica show. With ticket prices where they are, people deserve a spectacle. If was just playing and jamming, you can find that on the albums, or in a small venue, but not a Madison Square Garden.

Of course, that's just my opinion, feel free to disagree.

I just would like to Hear Master of Puppets or Sanitarium in their entirety.

Not to mention the squashing of ...And justice for All into a single melody.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Metallica and it's one of the best concerts I've ever seen, I just feel that the music, especially the hits, should come before people rolling across the stage on fire and pillars swinging, etc.

I think I have to agree (At least partially) with FANDICK on this one. Of course Metallica's shows have changed A LOT over the years.

Seeing them live in the late 80's and early 90's is WAY different than seeing them in the las 5-10 years. I'm partial to the earlier albums anyway, but the 2000's shows are a lot more about theatrics and and "the show" than playing some kickass music.

But Diablo is also right - it seems that people are more about "the show" than the music these days.

EDIT: And I would still go see Metallica in a hot minute if given the chance. :clap:

I got no beefs with Fred hes a person i call friend but i don't get the comparison please elaborate. Would also like to thank anyone who voted for us in the best kept secret category for the Orbies though we tied with Than and Sam it's a win for XM and shows that there is a following for SNV shows. I wish all those listening nothing but fun and good times and those involved an awesome show. Catch ya on the other side of the peace pipe 1.:smoke:
