His advisors, hmm thats a good thread just waiting to happen. Hahah did he just say two black presidents

He was referring to the show 24 which had two black presidents. His point was that society has been setting the stage for a black president for years.

very true, and the first president on the first season of 24 was Obama like, lots of simalarites to be drawn

If I remember correctly...i thought his coach tried to modify his swing after he hurt his wrist hiting a ball behind a rock or some crayness like that.

He was trying to change his swing after leaving his long time coach (who is now coaching Phil Mickelson). I thought he was doing it because he felt he needed to, not because of injury.

Although some say he changed his swing so that he could play well with the Nike driver.

let me get this right, just because a tv show like 24 has a black president, that has paved the way for obama.

You're missing his point.

He's saying that society may be more willing to accept a black president because of shows like 24 or other minorities like Tiger Woods doing what the do. Society has changed and such things demonstrate that.

It's a valid point, and I think Ron recognized it as such.

He doesn't mean politically, but socially/culturally. IT pulls the concept of a black President out of 'obscurity' and adds it to the mindset of popular culture.

If it really happens it won't be so 'foreign' to people because they have seen the scenario before. Even if it was only on TV.

what does tiger woods have to do with a election, it does not connect with me that tv shows can place images in my mind about voting. its just my thought i am not saying i am any more right but i voted for obama because i like the hope he gives off, when someone can connect with the youth of america and make them feel worthwhile and care about the direction of this country then i am down with that.

Come on, it's fairly obvious.

If one of the most popular shows on television has a black president, and it's not controversial; if the one of the most popular athlete in a really white sport is black, and it's not big deal, if these things happen, it shows that our society is willing to accept a black president.

None of these things would have happened in the '60s, '70's and '80's.

It's news, so they should be able to comment on whatever they want.

They were only hamstrung for the Super Bowl because the NFL have contracts with Sirius, as well as other rules/contracts that govern broadcast or commentary.

Everybody has access to the election. That's good for us!!!

If you have to tell people your comedy is edgy, is it really edgy?

I hope Ron already knows this guy, otherwise it could end up being a little awkward after his comments.

EDIT: Ah-ha, not talking about himself. That is OK then...

I'm reading this book right now- it's really good so far! I've only read the Pryor and Carlin chapters.

i wonder how this guy feels about Dice... you take these guys like Pryor and Carlin, old school guys that really made you laugh b/c of their jokes and how they were written... and then someone like Dice who throws in a bunch of curses and shtick for the sake of shtick... it sort of cheapens the art form.
