I just wanted to thank all of you who took the time to listen to my show this past Sunday night. Whether you like me or not, I appreciate the feedback, pro or con. Free speech is great, isn't it? I've been on this board since the beginning, and even though I really don't post a lot anymore, I do read it from time to time, and I have made some wonderful friends here. As for my critics, you know, those of you who sit in their parent's basements in their underwear, downloading porn and eating ravioli out of a can, you guys will probably never get me or like me, and that's cool. That's what makes a horse race, and I can take it as well as I dish it out.
So thanks, Ron and Fez Nation. And thank you most of all R&F, for believing in me and giving me a chance. And Pitzy, you rocked, kid. Thanks for being all aces. Eddie Pointer, you're a gentleman and a scholar.
Until next time, and yes, there will be a next time, like it or not(somewhere on the airwaves), best to all!
Blowhard

I gotta say, your show was something that I could get used to listening to on something like a 2 hour nightly basis. I think it would be great fun.

Blowhard for radio guy!

I said this in another thread, Blowhard, but in case you didn't see it here goes...

I liked your show, didn't love it, but I think the addition of a younger, more liberal counterpart for you to intereact with and work off of would put you over the top. No offense to Eddie, but he really blended in. You have very strong opinions, and a balance of the other side of the coin, just as strongly presented, would make for really great radio.

Just my opinion, sir. All the best.

Blowhard you were a blubbering bundle of contradictions. All the shit you complain about now was the shit we did as children in the good old days. You are old and will never be young again. Get over it.

Blowhard it was a bit rambling, but it wasnt bad and it was you from what I have come to know. I do think a different guest host would help and callers would make a big difference. All and all I would try it again for sure. As far as co-host perhaps

Although I didn't always see eye to eye with you I was glad to hear your passionate opinions. Just to let you know, some of us youngins are keeping an eye on the world too. So don't you worry. Either way as long as there's Brooklyn Boys to keep people in line we'll all be OK, lol.

Well done - especially for a first-time broadcaster.

Wrong, Casey! We are both sexually attracted to Dave. He's a hunk!
Franklyn, being the original "Brooklyn Boy", I'm glad to see our numbers growing, we are a force to be reckoned with! I did have the pleasure of meeting Dean, and I look forward to a dinner of 100 White Castle's with him soon. Hope you can join us.

This is why you have that belt, KHB! I use styrofoam intentionally just to piss off the tree huggers, and I can't wait until I buy a case of Depends and create my own landfill.

Blowhard, i was saying good things about your show the other night while i was listening but then you said some distasteful things about Arkansas. Sir the things you said were simply false and i demand that you use your own discretion when deciding if you intend to reply to this post or not.

Otherwise, i really enjoyed it and the only way to make it better that i could see is to add a young percussionist to the on-air list.

Hey Razorback, no offense to you and the fine people of Arkansas, including the great Brooks Robinson, but the point I was trying to make was that Slick Willie was an awful governor, and when he held office your state was near the bottom in reading scores, math scores, etc. Now, out of the 50 states, you guys are hovering in the 30-somethings, and things are looking up. Both Bill and Hill claim to be huge labor supporters, and yet Arkansas is a right-to-work state(which basically says "fuck you" to unions), and Hillary sat oin the Walmart board of directors when Walmart was battling union organizing. Oh yeah, Bill also supported NAFTA like the other Presidents, and whored us all out.
So enjoy life in your sleepy little state. Maybe someday I'm head down and do some fishing with ya! Peace.

I like the right to work system, i've been on both sides of union labor and in a lot of cases without the right to work it would be nearly impossible to get a job here in a union occupied job.
But you're right, as governor he was basically worthless for us but i gotta say Huckabee was twice as bad. We may be looking better on paper but its because Dickleberry forced the schools to teach the standardized tests rather than just have school in the conventional sense. I was in school under both govs and it was a lot better IMO under Bill even though we were under preforming on the national tests. Funniest thing Huck has done is after he lost all that weight he started trying to make kids in public school lose weight too. He instituted some program where every year we had to do BMI tests and the really fat kids had to eat salads and shit for lunch so they could be just a little bit more of an outcast. I'm really surprised it hasn't resulted in some more school shootings here.

Come on down in about 2 or 3 months, i can get you enough fish to solve the homeless hunger problem. We actually have the Game and Fish commission catching and killing them every once in a while because we get so damn overrun they start dying on their own and stinking the place up.
