Three 4 hour pills or one 12 hour pill?

What is better? Is there a difference?

When it comes to cold medication the low end stuff is usually take one dose every 4 hours, meaning you will be coming back multiple times a day. Behind the counter they have stuff that is only taken once every 12 hours or on the real high end taken once every 24.

Does it make a difference? Do the 12 hour kind work as well as taking multiple 4 hour kind?

I have always taken the multiple times a day sort, shots of Dayquil every 4 hours, I have seen the 12 (and 24) hour stuff but have never actually tried it.

What do you prefer?

I have heard the same thing - tied with the thought that time release medicines can be a little off due to how your body works. The digestion and absorption can vary person to person.

The same holds true for the short doses, but it is easier to make up for that because you take them incrementally and can cheat a little on time if necessary.

LSS - I prefer the short doses during the day and long term doses overnight. :smile:
