the threads and conversations on here lately have been a bit lackluster. some people have the knack to start up new topics and some do not. let's give everyone a hand-up and discuss what you look for/desire in a good thread.

edit: alternately, who starts the best threads? what are some of the threads that make you enjoy posting here.

Ya think?

When I logged in there was 304 posts since my last visit.

I think only 10 of them were worth a shit, and 3 of them were birthday threads.

Let's face it - this place isn't exactly a meeting of the minds.

Buncha dopes.

I think some of the best threads are those where we pick a sacrificial lamb and just make fun of them to no end, ala the douggrasso 3-some thread.

So, for this thread, should we just pick Gvac?

He's a slacker in the Lent sacrifices department.

A thread that is humorous or thought provoking is usually a good one, but all too often those who are neither humorous nor thought provoking will kill it by derailing it.

A thread that is humorous or thought provoking is usually a good one, but all too often those who are neither humorous nor thought provoking will kill it by derailing it.

Unless it is derailed in a humorous fashion. Then it will take on a life all its own.

This is usually done by posting a photo that has nothing to do with the thread's intent.

Like so...

You have proven time and again to be both humorous and thought provoking, my friend.

I've been looking all day long and still i cant seem to find any Black Crowes appreciation threads.

If there was any activity for me to engage in at home today i'd leave this place and not look back for several minutes.
