How will Ant & Melinda's breakup be handled on R&F?

Unless I'm didn't get the bit guy today...sounded like Ant confirmed today that he and Melinda broke up last week...Which sucks for them, they always sounded like a fun couple...and obviously what all went wrong in the relationship is really none of our business... But I wonder if it will be mentioned on R&F? Not sure how amicable the break up was, but may mean Melinda will no longer be a semi-regular on R&F. That will be sad, as she was usually comedy gold, plus it was nice the way she wanted to adope Fez, and more than tolerated Dave. Ron always seemed to greatly enjoy her visits/calls, whether she showed up with Ant or alone. And of course what about "According to Melinda"?

I was surprised to hear her call in last week, after Ant had been hinting around all week; she didn't mention it, but that was before the official announcement.

Ant said there was no hard feelings, they just grew apart. Melinda very rarely called into the show, she was usually part and parcel with Anthony. If it becomes too uncomfortable, Ron doesn't have to put her on the air. It's not like she works at XM and is always there.

This was actually a kind of legitimate question, so I'm not so sure why it's being treated like anyone is stupid for addressing it. If she never actively appeared on R&F, to the point of where she is even an element in "Board Gossip," it might be one thing, but she did and trying to bully people into thinking they are assholes for simply wondering how it will be addressed seems WAY too thin skinned.

Anyway, R&F will take their cue how to "handle" it from O&A and will be classy about it. Down the road it will be interesting to see if she calls in independently (if things remain the way they are) - I'm sure off the air is a different set of circumstances, since people were friends, etc., but on the air Ron and Fez will only really go into it if it appears that it is okay with their other friends, O&A.

More than "the girlfriend role," I liked Melinda when she just came on as a fan. I ALWAYS appreciated the fact that she actually listened to the R&F show. I don't get always that vibe from O&A - mostly Opie. That was kind of clear during the "Board Bowl" show when Ant FIRST showed up, and had to be brought up to speed on the gimmick they were pulling - even though it had been something discussed for a few weeks. I actually thought Melinda was kind of funny during the entire show - and I absolutely LOVED "the bickersons"/"Lockhorns" at the end.

Anyway, I hope things end up cool for both of them.

While I do wish them both the best of luck, and I always dug her call ins/drop ins.......it is not out of line to wonder what happened. She was on the show. She was part of bits. The mere fact that the break up was " announced" at all kind of bears this line of thinking out.
