I just had the most stupid/unpleasant confrontation with a nasty/unhappy woman on the street who called me out for "polluting her air" and "killing the children" with the cigarette that I was smoking.
I mean this is insane right? Why do people feel like they have the right to call me out for smoking on Main Street! The fumes from the constant flow of traffic through town are killing a shit load more people than the handful of cigarettes that I smoke a day.
I don't feel the need to stop her on the street and tell her that her disgusting obesity is "polluting my eyesight"

Has anyone else had an experience like this? How did you react?

I had an experience like that at Animal Kingdom in Florida. I was waiting for my nephew to come out of the bathroom, which is down a path away from the main park, and I was also standing on the SIDE of the building near a garbage can. Some fucking geek came to throw something out and gave me this shitty look and said, "That's disgusting and you shouldn't be doing that here"

I replied, "You've GOT to be kidding me, man. I'm on the side of the building next to a garbage can so go fuck yourself"

He just shook his head and walked away.

It's not enough for these asswipes that you can't smoke in hardly any establishments anymore, but they have to "confront" you, while they're vacationing with their families, OUTSIDE!

The "no conclusive" argument is BS... for every one scientist you can find that says there's no conclusive proof you can find ten to say there is. I'm pretty sure the no proof guys are the ones who believe AIDS was a CIA creation and that 9/11 was the result of evil thetans.

Not to trivialize cancer or illness in general but the list of "cancer causing agents" is so long its impossible for you to have not been exposed to "cance causing agents" at some point in your life. To blame it on 1 smoker is just looking to assign blame for your situation. If he smoked in the office day in and day out with you for 12 years then it must have been years ago, did the building have asbestos in the walls, or on the pipes? you wouldn't know because you don't SEE that every day. What kind of land was your home or job built on? Was there toxins in the ground? Did you test it with a scientist? How old are the powerlines in your area?
