I admit it, I was a big mark for him during his SNL days and for his first couple of movies. I am now not only tired of his one character forced into different roles, but I am now very sick of Will Ferell himself. I still don't understand the ESPN interviews, the Old Spice commercials, or any other insane ploy he uses to get on tv. Hollywood has to give us a break from this guy before he single handedly kills comedic movies.

But he hasn't done a rollerderby movie yet, or a lacross, or cricket.... Why would you deny us those?

maybe he should just stop being so zany. i didn't mind 'melinda and melinda' and 'stranger than fiction'.

He's got the Ben Stiller disease. Make absolutely as many movies while you can before everybody gets sick of you.
Then maybe he'll take the Jim Carrey route. Listen to the critics who don't like mere comedies and start making serious films that no one wants to see.

he probably won't see this.
I can agree to these terms. However I will request an injury to Jose Reyes as compensation.

I would like to see a dramatic film adaptation of the short "The Landlord" except that he plays a tenant who is a motocross rider struggling to make ends meet.

According to IMDB, he is currently in pre-production to play Rick Marshall in the Land of the Lost movie. Hey, at least it's not a sports movie, though I'm sure it will still suck.

I heard he shot down some insane amount of money to be in Elf II, so I thought he had some integrity. I did like Talledega Nights, and I didn't want to. But it has gone too far, now.

My favorite Ferrell roll was in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
Since then it's been downhill. Kinda.

Will he run around in his underwear in this one? I love when he does that. It's a hoot and a holler, I tell ya what!

How about a movie with Ferrell and Jonah Hill. Ferrel can run around in his underwear, and Hill can do that annoying laugh that he does in all of his movies.

Will Ferrell here is a list of sports and game characters
Short Center fielder for a Softball Team

Champion Thumb Wrestler
How many times can you go to the well, I will admit it I will probably laff alot during Jackie Moon, but the loffs keep dwindling, he is milking the crazy sports character

I wish I got sick of his movies because everytime I laugh my ass off at each movie, I know I shouldn't be.
I really don't know what it is about his movies, but they kill me.

The problem is, no matter how annoying it is that he has over saturated the market, he's...
funny.

As annoying as Will is, I'll DVR every late night interview he does when promoting a movie. He was good on Leno and Letterman recently and is on Conan this week.

as long as he gets a paycheck why shouldnt he make these movies..
the american public is such that you need to make as much as you can when you can...
p.s., who doesn't love the snorg t's girls?
I say at least two years.
And take Adam Sandler with you when you go.

Since he didn't make me hate him by going through with the plan to release an awful movie version of A Confederacy of Dunces, he's not on my shit list. In my opinion, he can make all the bad movies he wants since I won't be forced to watch them.

Sorry, gang, he makes me laugh. Always has. The big difference is that I'm not gonna be stupid enough to shell out 15 bucks at the theater to see one of his films. But I will catch him on tv every once in a while and laugh at his stupid jokes.

Yeah, I'm with you. I've never seen his movies in the theater, only on DVD.
However, I think I'm going to go see Semi-Pro in theater this weekend.

No. Stay strong. Take your money and donate it to a worthy charity, or buy recreational drugs.

That would be fucking great. I'd actually go to the theater to see it, forget about waiting till it came on PPV and getting it for free.
Not that I do that, anyway.

I could go for a nice MUGATU movie.
I think that most comedy films that come out now are shit. I saw Stranger then Fiction because it wasn't a "Will Ferrell" film, and I enjoyed it. I think because he didn't fall off something high onto his nuts was a major factor in it not doing well. And the fact that there wasn't an immature catch phrase for people to quote endlessly at a bar until it becomes a conversation killer where people will avoid making eye contact with you for the rest of the night was also an issue.

Has he been type cast to the point that Jim Carrey was, and is he at the point where most of his characters are pretty much reruns of his previous characters?

I fall for Will Ferrell every time and I am am always disappointed, Its the trailers they always look good but that act for 90 minutes wears a little thin

I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of Will Ferrell. I never got over the hatred I had for those cheerleaders sketches from SNL. I did rent one of his films, Bewitched, which was awful horrible, but that wasn't his fault.
So when I was looking for a movie today, I thought I'd give him a chance and rented Talladega Nights. I have to admit, it's a good movie, I liked it. Of course, I'm a Judd Apatow fan too, but Ferrell starred, wrote and produced it so he should get the credit.
