Today Ron proposed doing a 24 hour show.

How long would you listen before tapping out?

I think it would be amazing to hear, but I know I'd at least have to tap out at midnight to sleep for work. Of course, the best parts of the show would be from 4-6am when the boys were all loopy from being up and on for so long.

I'd be in for 24 no problem. I routinely am awake for at least 18 hours in a row anyway, so if I had something like that, it would be awesome.

Ideally it would be a party situation, though, with a bunch of listeners hanging out and doing stuff together for an entire day. I've done a couple 24 hour parties before where everybody gets together in the early afternoon and hang for an entire day doing whatnot, but so few people end up staying awake the whole time. Being passing out from drinking or just falling asleep, it ends up being me and one or two people who make it the entire time.

That's something we should get together. A 24 hour party. Drinks, food, movies, music and whatnot. That would rule.

When O&A were "on vacation" was the greatest month. I couldnt get enough of the buddays so a 24 hour show would be great. Plus the energy they had the day after everyone pulled an all nighter was amazing. Bring on the 24 hour show.

I REALLY (!) love how this idea mushroomed out from a random, end of show silly-talk, took hold through the fans reaction, and they said "What the fuck?!" What other show is so intertwined with the mindset of their listeners that they would not only NOT brush by it and treat it like the silly-talk it was, but pursue and do it? If I was to venture a guess, the 24 hour broadcast would probably be starting on a Thursday and ending on Friday. The Friday 12p-3p R&F show would probably be a replay of a three-hour block from the previous show.

I don't listen to O&A, but Ron said the idea would be to stay on the air until O&A got there. Do O&A do their portion of the FM show from the XM studio?
I never hear anything about walkovers anymore, so I wasn't sure if they just stayed in the same studio for both shows.

Today Feb. 29, Ron mentioned trying to pull this 24 hour show off next weekend, i would love to tend for the full 24 hrs. I drive truck so staying up the full 24hrs is not a problem, and if they do pull this off next weekend i will most certainly be able to tend in its entiraty! thanks:smoke:
