After ESD impressed us all with his anal antics today, Fezzy made an appearance in studio. Dr. Z and Fez began chatting about the dildo, and Dr. Z told Fez somthing like "maybe i will come on your show and do it." Fez seemed excited about it, when out of the blue comes Opie with "Their cutting us off, we gotta go".....end of show.

Am i wrong, or dont O&A have carte blanche to run as long as they want until, lets say 11:55???

Seemed like a douche move to keep the (very) fine Dr. off of R&F, or in the alternative, to keep her as an exclusive guest of his show.

If i'm wrong, then I'm the asshole.

No they definitely have to play a certain amount of commercials loaded into the computer. when they haven't been played the computer shuts them off.

Plus he has actually been making jokes that killed. For a good 2 or 3 months now Opie has actually been my favorite one on the show

I did notice that, I cant tell if its because some of the bits they are doing are getting somewhat hackier and its getting to him, the engagement, the merger or what ever it is but he is swinging up right now.

I agree with you completely - Opie has really been "on" lately.

It seems to me that Anthony has been slipping a little - and that is completely understandable given his recent personal issues. Add that to Ant's "unique" political views and moderately anti-social behavior, and Opie has had to pick up some slack to make sure the show stays on track and funny.

He has been doing a great job. :thumbup:

Opie steers the show. Thats hard; its easy to get bogged down in one subject and/or guest and/or bit; or if someone is hogging mic time or the bit isnt working, Op is the one jumping in, stopping this, telling that person to shut up and let the other talk; he'll say out loud 'this is lame, lets bring in...' and hes right.

And while he might not be the brain and reference machines that Ant/Norton are; he will go for the laugh, and spare nothing if he needs to. Ron said 'Make a joke or Be a joke' and that's Opie; if youre not funny or compeeling on his show, youre either out, or youre gonna be the target of a bit, if nothing else a verbal barrage.

i was going to post about this recently also. Opie has changed so much. negative/angry Opie was way over the top. the guy seems to be really happy these days and has been great on air. he also challenges what Anthony says alot more these days, like the poker thing, which has been great.

Actually, he does both. ant usually sticks to Blackjack or 3 Card Poker when he is in AC, but he has also been known to visit the Hold 'em Poker Tables. The downside for Poker is that you have to spend so much time at the table and ride the game out; that doesn't make for a terribly relaxing weekend.

Also, Ant used to (still does?) have Pest/Pal Talk Poker at his house and used to play online Poker a lot before legislation made online gambling very difficult.
