I had this beer last night called Land Shark put out by Margaritaville.
It's similar to a Corona but didn't have that nasty aftertatse. To be honest it didn't have much of a taste at all.
I didn't try it w/ a lime, which may have jazzed it up a bit, so not sure how I felt about it.
Has anybody seen or had this beer before ?

when i moved to SC, besides Bud, Coors, and the other regular offenders I saw tons of land shark.
Personally its not bad, and yes it doesn't have that aftertaste.

The bar I had it at doesn't carry Corona ( some story about them getting into a fight w/ the distributor so they refuse to carry it ) and they usually have a fake-Corona thing called something Sol I think.
They are now offering this as an alternate to Corona.

I had it at a Jimmy Buffet show in Vegas last October. They were selling it straight or with a shot of tequila filling the bottle. It had some catchy name but I can't remember it right now. I preferred it with the shot on it; you're right it didn't have much going for it other than Jimmy Buffet's name. Those fuckin people will buy anything with his name or picture on it.

Sol aint bad though. I honestly prefer it to Corona. Dos XX, Sol, Tecata then Corona in that order for mexican beers. Shit I forgot Pacifico; it's better than Corona too.
Landshark is simply another pawn in the Anheuser-Busch / Barton Beers pissing match.
Backstory: Anheuser Busch actually owns 50% of Corona but because of the deal Corona made with Barton Beers, Anheuser-Busch can't control the distribution to Corona. AB wants Corona because of the power/profitability of the brand and thinks that if they were allowed to distribute it through their powerful distribution network the brand would do much better than it would today.
So a number of years ago a pissing match started. AB created an awful brew called "Tequiza", put it in a clear bottle and told their distributors to get it placed right next to Corona on the shelves of your local retailer. The brand was just thrown out there as a "parasite" brand to chip away at Corona sales to send a shot at Barton.
Of course over time Tequiza ceased to make money and went away. So then Anheuser-Busch came to an agreement with Jimmy Buffett to promote Landshark Lager. Of course AB really doesn't give a shit about Landshark in the big picture, but are using it in the same method they used Tequiza.
The end game in this is that in 5 years Landshark Lager probably won't exist and AB will distribute Corona.

They have had it at Busch Gardens for about a year now. I think it just recently started being distributed on a large scale. According to the people over at Busch Gardens you aren't supposed to put a lime in it. It has a little lime flavor already.
I hate beer, but this one isn't too bad. Light flavor.

It was very blah to me.
It's kinda the opposite end of the Miller Chill which is too citrusy.

I hate beer with no taste. I am a Guinness/Murphy's guy when the budget allows it.
Yuengling Porter is also good.
If it is at Busch Gardens, I'll bet Paul had 1 or 8.

I was at the grand opening of my wife's friends restaurant and I saw a Captain Lawrence Gold ( local beer made in Westchester that I've mentioned on here before ) on the menu for $28 bucks.
I didnt order it because I didn't wanna be that much of a free loader.
I think it was 750ml but still seemed expensive.
I went with some microbrew from New England who's name is escaping me.
It was in a black bottler with a red ( maybe ?? ) label.
Nantucket, Cpae Cod, etc ... kinda name.
