I know all the Canucks will appreciate this but if you like jazz or remember him in Roadhouse he will be missed.

Awe, man. That sucks. Back in the mid 90's he was playing a show up the road from the bar where I worked. After the show, he and his band walked down the street to our bar, because the other place didn't have mixed drinks, or allow smoking.
We were having an open acoustic night. The performers didn't use the stage on those nights. They played on the floor right in front of the crowd. He asked if they could play. Of course we said yes! He played a bunch of country tunes and some drunk redneck yelled for them to play blues. Jeff said he played blues for a living, and now he's going to play whatever the fuck he wants.
They jammed until almost an hour after the bar closed. He was an extremely nice guy. I sort of embarrassed myself, though. As I was cleaning up, I found a pair of dark sun glasses. I held them in front of his face and asked, "Are these yours?". Yes... I "showed" them to a blind man.
RIP

Yeah. I had no idea he was so young. That means he was only 22 when he did Road House.

"The name is, Dalton."
Any time a member of Roadhouse does anything up to and including death; we must remember.
ALWAYS REMEMBER!!!!!
Still the greatest closing line of any movie - period.............."A polar bear fell on me."

I thought his corpse would be bigger.
Anyone in RH is A-OK by me.
He's playing at that big Double Deuce in the sky.

Road House is in my personal DVD collection. A girl I knew asked me why I didn't have a "good" Patrick Swayze film like Dirty Dancing or Ghost. She didn't understand.
R.I.P. They say on the "other side" blind people can see. I hope so.

all jokes aside, maybe its a good thing.
maybe now, he can look down from above (if its possible) and finally get to see his beautiful children. cant imagine how agonizing that must have been.

Wow, I am saddened. I heard Jeff Healy for the first time BEFORE Roadhouse came out. The album I first bought from him was HELL TO PAY back in 1990.
I was blown away by this blind guitarist who seemed to be able to jam pretty well. He caught my attention. He did an AMAZING version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
He also had a major love for Jazz and the Blues. When you hear his songs on the radio he seems to have a distinctive sound to him, like when you hear Van Halen's guitar or Ozzy's vocals. You just knew it was him.
AND his new album, which was his first rock & roll one in YEAR, is coming out soon.
R.I.P. Jeff, your music and talent will be sorely missed by me.

That sucks, this is the first I've heard about his death. He was truly an amazing performer, one of the few live shows that gave me goosebumps.
