Seriously, just about every other so called producer on 202 is working on their own show, why not Dave? Is Dave content to attempt to play third mic? Or does he have aspirations to ever do his own thing? Out of all the producers trying to put a show together, Dave is pretty much the only one that has actual on-air talent. I'd be curious to see what he'd put together.

Wait, this isn't anti-Dave.

Actually, with a little ginger on the way, I'd doubt he would have time.

I'm actually relieved he hasn't so far. While I don't blame them or hold it against them, outside of when Dubbs did the Hideout, I havent' been a big fan of crew members doing their own shows.

I think the general thought on 202 is that he gets too much air time already... I'd tune in to a podcast though... As long as it wasn't passed 8:00 my time.

Yes, I would like for him to bring back his old radio ego, "David East Side." Totally different.

He would be good as long as he had someone directing him otherwise he wouldn't keep us interested and following his 5th grade attitube.
Who would be a good second mike for ESD?:drunk:

A SNV show would interfere with Dave's drinking.

Dave should be content with third mic, and so should we.

He is at his best playin off of Ron, and beatin on Earl.

I like dave, just not sure he can handle an entire show on his own just yet.

Other than his charcters Board gossip and Guy Guyerson, which are great, Dave is not the most articulate guy on the radio. He is great doing those bits and does a nice job interacting/agreeing with Ron but he does not create stimulating radio on his own. Listening to him when ever Ron is not there to go back and forth with him he is a stammering mess. Best for him to stick with what is working. I don't think a podcast/pilot show would be anything to write home about.

I think he could handle it easily (imo, it would put some of the other ones to shame, to be honest), but I really like his role as an important part of my favorite radio show. 'nuff

I wish the Midnight Rider would do a podcast.

He's drunk during the SNV. I think that's a big reason. I'd like him better than Rick Shapiro.

What does the Midnight Rider have to do with Dave?
They are two seperate people, I saw them wrestle each-other...

I thought Friday was his drinking night.

Dave has said on air that his goal is to be with the Ron and Fez show and he doesn't want to leave to do his own thing. The show is good for him because it allows for him to be somewhat crazy but has Ron to guide him. Perfect example when not on R&F is when he goes on O&A he fights (and loses to Roland), has things in his ass, etc.

I've grown to love Dave. He really turned me off when he started but I think he has matured as a radio personality incredibly over the past year (he's gone way past Earl as far as on-air talent is concerned and he's such a genuine person.). I just think he'd need to do a show with the perfect cast around him. He is so dominant on mic but he'd have to have the right person to reel him in. It would be interesting to see him try it. If they do this 24 hour thing they're gonna need all the people to step up that they can get. Dave will be a key component in that endeavor. I hope all the best for him in his career.

I always thought back in the Free-FM days that Dave would have been a great overnight show.

There is almost nothing to listen to in NYC during the overnight that isn't sports.

Without anyone to reel him in it would be an utter trainwreck. He can not handle his own show

Every trained monkey needs an organ grinder. Who would complement Dave's personality? Maybe Mike the Teacher; smart, well-spoken, focused.
