View Full Version : Sonny Fox besmirched the "Unmasked" name

it was a complete sham that sonny fox got to steal the unmasked title and have an hour with george carlin. he really didnt add anything at all and it was complete stupidity on XM's part to not utilize the great ronnie b who is the greatest interviewer on the planet. he was able to take the penthouse girl - who obviously was 4 hours late to O/A so she got dropped into ron and fez's lap - interesting for fuck's sakes. ron was able to make a complete zero like gallagher compelling and was able to make 2 folks i'd never even heard of in suzy hessman and david brenner and have me sitting in my car in a parking lot for 20 minutes to hear the end of david brenner's interview. sonny fox is hideous with his lame comments on xm 150 and he really dropped the ball with the carlin interview. i really think ron wouldve been trancendant being able to unmask the best comedian alive today. stupid XM. maybe they were too busy giving the kid touching michael jackson his own channel to properly monitor the unmasked scheduling. apparently as far as XM goes if you sexually assault someone you get your own channel for a month, but if a homeless guy talks about committing sexual assault O/A get suspended for a month, totally fucking consistent... but i digress. ron was robbed and not having him unmask george carlin significantly lessened my enjoyment of that special. ron's the best!

This was actually the FIRST Unmasked show from before Ron took it over.

That was the very first unmasked ever done in the series, which was BEFORE when Ronnie B. was asked to host the series. Carlin was their first ever guest and that Unmasked originally aired summer 2007. Ron's done all the subsequent Unmasked shows.
Edit: But I would have fucking LOVED to hear Ronnie interview George Carlin. He's a much better interviewer than Mr.Foxx

And for the record, while I agree with you that Ronnie B is much better than Sonny Fox..... David Brenner is a comedy legend & Susie Essman is fucking hysterical.
Just because you haven't heard of them, doesn't mean they aren't great.

I'm not a radio executive, but I'm pretty sure Michael Jackson was given a channel for a month because his album "Thriller" sold 40 million copies. Not, for sexual assault. :bye:

It kinda bugs me that Fox is still listed on the Unmasked page, but at least they moved Ron up to #1.
