I know I said storyboarding was the next step but film making doesn't happen in a bubble. Maybe it should. You get a budget, some actors and script and they lock all of you in a vacum sealed studio until it's done. I'd love that but since there's human right laws and such, I can't get away with that.

May of 2005
I moved back to Brooklyn from Boston with a script, possible investors and a drive to get this done. I also had a short feature named "FADE".

"Fade" played at the Brooklyn Academy of Music with "Adoration"

The two, I had shot during my time in Boston and were ready to premier in NYC. The move took a lot and of course the movie was put on hold. I had decided that it would be good to let people know I was back by having another screening at our old stomping grounds, The Brooklyn Academy of Music. Plans were set up and promotion was started. We had a good four months until the screening date and things were moving.
Back in "Last Night in Brooklyn" world casting and crewing had begun I brought in a lot of old friends and formed what I thought would be a great team. I was back and ready to rock.

SEPT of 2005

Ouch!!!! So FUCK Katrina. Because of that hurricane we got a Giants home game against the Saints. Sounds great until you are in a three car accident, outside Giants stadium thinking, "how am I going to screen my films"? The second thought was "I think I am in a lot of pain...oh it's getting worse."

After weeks on pills and in bed we had a premiere that I barley remember because of my medications (I think it was fun), I slowly got back into work. This is a clip of a December blog I wrote.

OK, I have blogged
Current mood: tired

Ok, so welcome to my first blog. I guess the question I am asked the most recently is about the accident. As some of you may know I got into a little accident that has turned into months of pain. We got hit in the rear by a speeding taxi while we (Dean and I) were parked. The car wasn't too bad but I have permenant damge in my neck and shoulder. You know what though...whatever. What you should be asking about it the new movie! We just finished "FADE" and are in preproduction on "Last Night in Brooklyn".
I love this movie. I have been drawing storyboards for about three, four weeks straight. There are hundreds of shots. I am halfway through the second act and haven't broke 200.
It's going to be a long haul. I'll keep you posted on the movies progress here!

OK CATS that is the end of my 2005 stay tuned for how 2006 went. We got cast, crew, preproduction, production and two years of post production to go, lol.
