you annoying sack of crap!
Fez's words, not mine, but I wholeheartedly agree.
Ok, sorry for this, but Al's ignorance of music labels and bashing of anything that isn't mainstream or top 40 has really gotten to me.

I think that alone speaks for itself.
They only had four albums that were top sellers for Epic Records (the first album was Sony, but Epic affiliated).
Nothing Records. Yeah cuz no one has ever bought any NIN records after the first TVT release.

Actually yes it does. It's called an independant label. And if it weren't for an independant label in the late 70'searly 80's called I.R.S. no one would know who R.E.M. was. Most bands start out on an independant label and their contracts get bought out or expire and major labels pick them up. For example, he claims to be a Replacements fan (which offends me to no end) and they were on Twin/Tone. An indie label out of Minneapolis. Nirvana, originally signed to SubPop, an indie label out of Seattle. And don't even get me started on the punk bands signed to SST. Dinousaur Jr. for one who started on SST and ended up on Sire.
What a tool.
