Can you generally peg a straight or gay person? I know some gays and knew within a few moments of meeting them that they were. On the other hand, there have been some that I found out later and was completely unaware before.

So, is gaydar real, generally speaking?

You have to hone it to ensure it's accurate, but it totally exists.

Gaydar is just another way of describing your istinct about somebody, but particularly about their sexuality. I think it's about as real as your instinct is accurate... and even someone who considers themselves a good judge of character (or, just plain good at judging) can find they've judged wrong sometimes.
