If Obama were to lose the Democratic nomination to Hillary and defected to a third party could he get a large portion of the vote? I know actually winning as a third party candidate is impossible but would a big name like Obama help a third party gain some momentum. He has a large number of young voters behind him that might not care about Democrats or Republicans. I think for a new party to catch on they need some major names to be on board with Obama people would start paying attention.

I think it would destroy the chances of the Democratic party from winning the election.
Although the sheer volume of epo and Shower Bench arguing with each other if it happened would destroy the internet.

That would be like watching three guys fuck your girlfriend instead of only two..The third cock constitutes a train ...I don't want Obama pulling a train on my girlfriend..

I don't think he's far enough outside of the Democratic party for that to make sense. At this point in his political career, I think turning his back on his party would keep him from winning an election on a national level.

I hope not. The Democratic Party needs to heal after this primary. I have a lot of Democrat freinds who are really worried about the direction the party is taking. I hope Barack is the nominee, but if not both of these candidates, Howard Dean and the party leaders have a lot to do to get the party back on track.
