Actually I really dig Joe Cocker's version of "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window." I'm pretty sure Jimmy Page plays guitar on it.

No it was "With A Little Help From My Friends".

Gregg Allman did a pretty cool version of "Rain" and Deep Purple did a slow, bluesy version of "Help" on their first album -- which, I read, was the way John Lennon had originally wanted to do it. The video sucks but the sound is OK:

• Jimi Hendrix Experience — “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”

There's a good version on "Hendrix In The West". Keep the volume low on this as it's a bit loud and distorted.

The fact that nobody mentioned Stevie Wonder's cover of "We can work it out" makes me question each and every one of you:

In that vein, I give you Earth, Wind and Fire's "Got to Get you Into My Life":

Also, Wilson Pickett's version of "Hey Jude" -- featuring young Duane Allman on guitar:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9-dwSt2p0Gg&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9-dwSt2p0Gg&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

I agree on Gregg Allman's verison of "Rain" done with organ and a choir. It is soul-stirring.

Also quite awesome is the Gov't Mule version of "She Said, She Said" off Dose, which then morphs into "Tomorrow Never Knows."
