Wednesday, December 5th, 2001...10:45pm...Al Dukes once again shows his incompetence and general lack of musical knowledge, and in turn, defames my name...

Mr. Bungle?!?!

That was Al's quote, in disbelief that anyone might have ever heard of possibly the most eclectic band of modern times...and frankly, I'm nauseated...

In Al Dukes' world, Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen are "cutting edge"...he obviously knows very little else about music...

Mind you, I'm not saying that Al is wrong for not liking any certain band-it's his perrogative...my seething rage is his lack of any regard for an artist who hasn't had a commercial hit <read: hasn't either topped the charts or gone multi-platinum>...

Would Al laugh at Frank Zappa? There's a prime example of an artist who is undeniably one of the greatest ever, but since he rarely had radio play and <to my knowledge> has never hit the Top Ten with any of his albums...

Al, you have once again shown your ignorance...which, sadly, doesn't even surprise me...you've consistantly shown your lack of knowledge of music, entertainment and radio production, and my only hope is that Ron manages to kill you before you can do any more damage to a wonderful show...

Cya!

It's not funny, my ass is on fire...

In response, from Webster's Dictionary:
eclectic e-'klek-tik 1: selecting what apears to be best in various doctrines, methods or styles, 2: composed of elements drawn from various sources

Therefore, that's the true statement, as Mr. Bungle has combined death metal, jazz, funk, ska, surf, ethnic, blues, electronica, and many other styles into their songs...sometimes all in the same one :)

EDIT: btw- I got the joke too lol...
