Hey buddays. Looks like a Best Of show today.
And Gvac's self-imposed exile has ended, so maybe he'll be joining us to tell us how lousy this listening thread is.

When Can We Expect The Return Of El Grande Gato ?
Hey Buddies! Me and Servo had a great time in studio Friday! Thanks to Reilly, Hottub, Hippo and all the rest of you guys for helping us find our way in there. You guys are the best!.
Ronnie B's a true professional who makes his genius seem so easy. Lily, Pitzy, Dave, Earl, Stover, Pepper, and Mooch were really friendly and cool. It was nice to meet HTG, Sheepy, and Flea. All great people. I can't wait to go again when Fez is back!
Thanks again to all you guys.
BTW - I'm thinking of changing my boardname. Nothing was more douche chilling for me than when HTG, Sheepy, or Flea asked me where I posted and what my boardname is. I told them but automatically admitted it's an awful name and cringed in shame..

Seriously? They played it over the weekend too.
I might actually be a little pissed if it's St. Pat's again...
I think Fezzie should do the show all by himself today to make up for the time he has missed.

Monday's Show
2008-03-17 part 1 – St. Patrick's Day, Mooch, Dave and Kathleen drink, Irish gypsies, the biggest drinkers, Dave sings
2008-03-17 part 2 – Shane McGowan...

That's not what they are playing right now. They are playing the "blouse" segment, about certain article of men's clothing being called "blouses."
EDIT: Also, I think you are mis-reading the front page. By "Monday's Show," it refers to the phrase above that saying "9 pm to Midnight: Monday's Show." The St. Patty's Day show was last monday, and it played last night.

Based off of my research, looks like the alien muthership rejected Earl. White people are F'd on this one.

I have to disagree with Ron on his Greatest Hits stance, IF you are not a big fan of the band. Of course you are going to get the regular albums if you are a fan, but if you only like one or two of a band's songs, the Greatest Hits album is the way to go.

Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness was a great double album.
It wouldn't have worked as well as two separate releases.
(I know they said this a long time ago, but I just got to the keyboard.)

i see your point... but you might miss out on a lot of meaty, creative tunes if you only invest in a "hits" collection.
take Queen for instance. many of their most phenomenally creative and admirable tunes have never been played on the radio.

The red Greatest Hits album makes Aerosmith seem phenomenal.
If you like pain, try to see thru one of their early albums.

I am with you on that - it is definitely possible to miss out on some good stuff.
However, if you generally are not a fan of a particular band or their type of music except for one or two popular songs, there is no reason NOT to go with the greatest hits. You might not even like all of the songs on the GH album, but you get the songs you DO want and somebody else who likes the band will get a couple of the other selections they dig (if you are listening in the car, at a party, etc.).
My example: The Grateful Dead. I'm not a big fan of their work, but there are a couple of songs (like Sugar Magnolia and Casey Jones) that I can listen to.

Welcome Budday, and good point. These days you can cherry pick what you want, which makes it nice.
However, if you are a Luddite and usually pick up CD's instead of downloads, the Greatest Hits might be the way to go.

Today's wasn't TOO bad IMO. I liked all but the last segment, so it could have been a whole lot worse.
Of course, all of the segments have appeared more than once in Best Of selections, so I can understand you (and others) being pissed.

The only reason I complain is that I , like all of us on this board, have heard it more than once. Why can't they play some of the shows they did at night? I listened to some of those but the streaming was horrible. But, what I did hear was really good. Just saying, it would be nice if dave, earl or someone would attempt to entertain the customer.

I have just had a really negative day so I was trying to put a "positive spin" on the issue.
It was shitty... I admit it. They don't really give a f@#$ about Best Of. :flush:
