Help me help my friend get into Ron and Fez

Hey all,

I have a friend who would love R&F but as we all know, it can take a couple of weeks to get addicted. So if you were going to send my friend the best shows or bits to acclimate her to R&F what would you send?

Old bits are great and all, but I really think she's just got to listen to a week of live shows.
If she doesnt get it by then, no amount of classic bits is gonna help.

You should stay available to your friend to fill him/her in on some of the bits and the history... it can be overwhelming to come into.
In my experience, you just can't force it on people... you can expose them to R&F when you're in the car or something, but someone's just got to WANT to get into it. I also have a friend that would LOVE R&F and laughs all the time when I play it in my car, but he just won't put the effort into it at all... it's his loss, that's all.

I have tried in vain over the past few years to get most of my "real life" friends into Ron and Fez. They're not an acquired taste; either you get it or you don't.

All you can do is beg them to listen semi-regularly and if it doesn't grab them it's their loss.

I use how many 9 yr olds could you beat up as a measuring stick. If they dont think thats funny, I take away there friendship card and write them off as a zilch!

My ex hated R&F, we are now divorced. Thats my new rule, must be a listener otherwise it won't work.

my girlfriend just can't get into them. one time we listened to the Molly Shannon interview and she enjoyed it but since then it's mainly Ron's constant use of the word " fucking " that turns her off

and believe me my girlfriend is not a prude, but she can be stubborn at times
