From the good folks at DCRTV.com
Greaseman To DC101 - 3/28 - From Washington area radio history site 98wrc.com: "A couple of weeks ago we told you to check back for a major announcement. Aren't you glad you did? It can now be told that the Greaseman (aka Doug Tracht, right) and DC101 have negotiated to bring 'The Big Greasy One' back to 101.1. Doug worked at the the modern rock station when he replaced Howard Stern in 1982 and remained there until 1993. The Grease took a short hiatus from radio (via talker WMET) late last year to recharge the batteries and enjoy a few mornings of sleeping late. We know the DC area is ready to welcome back the 'Doo Dadd Daddy' and it'll give us something to look forward to!" DCRTV hears that it'll be parttime weekend work

Exactly. Eliot in the Morning and the Greaseman? Awful.
god i hate the hyena and the class - worst morning radio show ever
I used to have to drive in early to my job like leaving at 5:00 in the morning early and it was either this clown, hoo hoo or Hurting and Hurting on ESPN
You dont know how much i loved the Junkies move to morning
god i hate the hyena and the class - worst morning radio show ever
I can sum up his show thusly:
"Is this me?"
"Good morning Class"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"
"Can I get a t-shirt?"

You forgot the hideous sucking wheeze of air intake for a few seconds as he gasps for breath after cackling like a chode.
Don't make me remember that.

that sound still gives me nightmares
but he had one of the better pranks pulled on him when Chad Dukes was on his show portraying Lance Armstrong and just crushed their show, what made it better was Elliott was hyping the apperance all week

of course not he got tooled on and that was it, he promised a payback against the junkies but it never happened, the closest was when he made some lame comments about the Junkies after HFS flipped formats

I'm confused. Elliot was/is DC101's morning guy...isn't the Greaseman coming back to be their morning guy?
Greaseman is only on Saturdays 8-12.

To be honest, I did an exhaustive search for Elliot archives a few years ago, because I wanted to find the 9/11/01 show. I had no luck at all.
