Wow, I must say that is rather odd Ikea. Whenever I feel bleh or shitty I can never even bring myself to get in the shower.

i shower in the dark also.
its a gettaway. the water bangs my melon and it drowns the voices out. i also take showers in the dark because i have a fear that someone installed tiny cams in my house. DARK SHOWERS ROCK,
ITS LIKE A DISAPEARING ACT.

I agree with HHH when im feeling blah I dont jump in the shower i burrow under the covers. Showering helps me feel better after im done hiding

Light represents your sight, when in the light you see your problems. Darkness represents your sleep, you escape, you dream, you see nothing that may fear you. Showering in the absense of light lets you enjoy the sensual feeling of the hot water all over your body, without the fears or bleh. Much like when you are sitting in an outdoor hottub away from many lights. That is my profound answer of the week.

The dark is your safety and retreat from problems that trouble you. Showering metaphorically washes your troubles away. Showering in the dark washes them away and whisks you to a place you feel safe.
