Loving this show.

Should have caught previous seasons but I couldn't imagine it was going to any good at all. Watching his Kitchen Nightmare show got me interested in Chef Ramsay and I just happened to have the TV when HK started.

Can anyone tell me if the earlier shows were this good?

Do you get the Fox Reality channel? It on there all the time. I watch it every once in a while.
My gripe is why does every reality show have to do a red team and a blue team? Why can't the producers pick a green team and orange team. Be different.

I don't think I get that Fox channel. Do you have Cablevision? If so, what channel is it?

I thought HK would be terrible, until I saw Kitchen Nightmares. And I checked out a lot of the old episodes on Fox Reality. I'm excited for the new season.

Also, if you're watching Kitchen Nightmares on Fox, you need to watch Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, which is on BBC America. Its a zillion times better than the Fox version. Its not "Fox-i-fied" at all, so its just the show you're watching, and not some awful made up drama.

There's also a version called Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares Revisited. He normally returns to the restaurants like a month later or whenever, but he went back to a lot of the restaurants again like a year or two later, and that's what Revisited is. I'm so hooked on this show.

I can't believe that these dishes are the chef's "signature" dishes. They had to have been told to dumb it down or something.

Fox reality shows anger me sometimes.

Is anyone still watching this show?

I nearly hyperventilated when Jean Phillipe walked into the glass door tonight. I rewound it about 20 times and just kept laughing harder and harder.

anyone watching this new season? second episode (i think) tonight.

i think Ji is way over-acting her ankle sprain for sympathy and 'courage' points. your thoughts?

EDIT: ok, she just eliminated herself because of the injury, so maybe not. or maybe she used the 'injury' as an excuse for 'can't handle the pressure'.

The show wears real thin, real quick. They should show a little actual cooking once in a while. Enough with the screaming limey bit.

they way over do the shows over the top elements in commercials but it is actually funny and usually interesting, not the over the top garbage that they advertise

I fucking hate that Fox has to throw in awful things and pretend they are real. For the 2nd season in a row, that awful "party planner" showed up and then he "dropped the cake". It's fucking awful. The show is good enough on its own, we don't need fake people injected into the show.

How come the people on Hell's Kitchen are always so much less attractive than people on other cooking shows?

It's back for another season. I fucking hate this show yet I keep watching. I hate how Foxified everything has to be.

Hell's Kitchen is where I spend a lot of happy hours. Not sure about the food.

I think you just have to let go and enjoy that. Like try and figure out who is going to be the person they keep in because they always make a quip and yell "Damnnnnn" in their confessional. Will they bring Robert back? How many different ways will this be the "most shocking episode of Hell's Kitchen yet!" I watch this show, and Top Chef, and the dichotemy is pretty funny.

Ramsey was better before he came to American TV. Now he's a clown.

Definitely. I watch his BBC shows all the time. I refuse to watch the American ones. It's cliche to say "the British version is better," but it's true.

I think his US shows could be better, if they weren't on Fox. But yeah, his BBC shows are much better.

On American TV, Ramsey's whole persona gets reduced to this crazy, raving maniac. I know the world of restaurants and chefs is not exact genteel, but it's just impossible to think that someone that nuts would actually be successful in his career. Who'd work for this psycho?

He says he is a whore to US television to support his restaurants.
