So most of us are getting 1200 or 600 bucks from Uncle Sam in order to "stimulate the economy".
So what are you doing with it?
We're putting it towards a house.

putting it in the bank. i'd put it in a CD, but the rates are so pathetic right now, it's not even worth it.
btw, won't these 'rebates' be considered 'income' and taxed next year?

The two of you are very wise; these investments will give you far greater returns than any bank could ever hope to.

Hahaha. Damn you Indian man from foreign lands.
I am debating what i'll do with it. I have somehow managed to stretch my returned FA check from February until now. I've been paying off most of my bills ahead of time so i am kind of at a loss as to where to spend/save my money.
It'll probably get split between two bills then the rest saved because i am a fucking old person.

Apparently you won't have to pay income tax on the rebate check.
We will pay for it once the government finally collapses from the debt

DynoMite! I don't think I qualify for that particular refund but we're getting a shit load back from our regular income taxes. About $1,000 will be used to to start my outdoor kitchen. The rest will pay my mortgage for 5 or 6 months allowing me to save some dough for the proverbial rainy day.
