My radio station was playing "My Name is Mud," in '93, but then not many stations were HFS (maybe no stations were HFS...).

I just picked the single--I doubt their going to play a deep track off a Primus album that most people don't have (I don't even have it.). But it would be cool if they did.

Damn, do I have to start hating tool cause Jim Morrison guy likes them? I think the only one on the show who likes Tool is Dave, and I can't remember Dave picking out music (or if he did, it was only for a couple of days). And besides, I think 99% of the time they are picking out stuff they think Ron would like. What about the creation of Quantum Computers? Did they mention that?

If you could create a quantum computer, you could effectively predict the future. It would be able to "numbers crunch" all of the possibilities and probabilities and come up with the most likely series of events.

It wouldn't be foolproof, but would probably be the closest thing to "precognitive knowledge" that we could get.

For you comics fans, think of Midnighter as an example.

There is only one future and only one past. Everything originated from the "initial cause." Every "effect" came, and will come as a result of the cause before it and the laws of the universe and cannot be altered. The future is, and has been determined since the "initial cause.

I've always hated that 5% of the brain shit people throw about. It's based upon the part of the parts of the brain that blood increases flow in or registers an increase in electrical activity. Maybe the rest functions on a level we don't know how to measure yet or it stores chemicals or whatever... Scientists know as much about the entire brain as they do the entire universe.

we were given free will by god.... which means we choose our actions.

Ron should read these stories to ESD and Fez. Stories that show the good uses for guns, like defending yourself from a lunatic breaking into your house. Just because it doesn't make big headlines like the VT massacre. And FWIW, at VT, if someone had a gun they could have stopped that maniac right there, quickly.

Maybe if Fez had a gun, he wouldn't be so scared of the world?

Which house should you let your kid play at? Why?

[I'd call this in but I called already]

From Freakonomics:

In a given year in the US there is one drowning for every 11,000 pools. [6 million pools = approx 550 child drowning per year; kids under ten].

There is one child killed by a gun for every 1 million guns [200 million guns = 175 under ten die from guns per year]

Your kid is roughly 100 times more likely to die in a swimming accident at Todd's house then in gunplay at Ron's.

Beautiful! And in the meantime, guns are used defensively over 2 million times per year!!!

Here are your pool stats..

That's a good stat, but it's still kinda flawed. If you have a responsible gun owner, who has 5 guns, it makes the stat off. Not too many people have 5 pools.

That Wine Cellar will be empty between Piuki, and Mrs. 196's Lushy nature.

What if a kid dives into a pool to get a gun at the bottom?

1 kid in 11,000,000,000.

I wonder if more people have pools or guns at all?

oh great.
another thing for Fezzie to have anxiety about!!

nice going, Mike!

The scary fact that is being overlooked is that there are 200 MILLION guns!

It pains me to say this, but i cant disagree more with Ronnie on this one....it seems his answer for gun violence would be more guns (b/c law abiding people could "protect" themselves)

If you take that logic to its absurd conclusion, the country would be safest (in terms of gun violence) if EVERYONE was packin heat.

Nonsense.
(i tried calling in with this, but whoever was running the phones wasnt to impressed...lol)

pools can be used defensively... it just takes some skill to lure your attacker into your backyard.

and pools are always loaded with water which kills the kids...guns arent always loaded which make them useless
