Movie Assholes

Last night I ended up watching The Green Mile because there was nothing better on- I have limited channel selection because I'm living at a hotel(story for another thread). Anyway, every time I watch that movie I can't stand the character of Percy. I want to rip that assholes sour puss face off of his head. It's more than just the character of the story- if the part is played by a different actor I don't think I would hate him. It's the combination of the actor and the character that makes me want to punch him right where the face is at. So I was wondering if anyone had some more movie assholes that drive them crazy and why.

I hate the main kid from The Sandlot. Always get a kick out of that flick, but Smalls is just a fucking AWFUL character. He's insanely annoying and shrill and they make him just so socially clueless and awkward that it makes no sense why anyone would tolerate being around him for more than 5 seconds.

Sorry I can't remember his name. And I just saw it. The bolt gun killer in No country for Old Men....I know he won the oscar, but if I saw him with that haircut and the air bolt...I run up a tree and try to fly away. He was a murdering asshole and scarys the shit out of me.

That guy is the perfect description of what I'm getting at. If those roles are played by any other actor, the character probably doesn't goat you so bad. And if you ran into William Atherton on the street he'd probably be an asshole in real life. It makes you want to donkey punch both the characters and the actor.

I agree with you that playing an asshole doesn't necessarily make you one as a person. It's just that some roles are so perfectly cast that it makes you hate both the character and actor for being an asshole.
