i havent read the boards much but i could only assume that at least half of the daves an idiot style of posts are in jest to an extent and are more directed towards the character dave portrays on air, and while some people may meet and confirm their beliefs many ppl can say things in jest or as just an on going thing that is fun to do because its not malicious.

Where as typically calling someone a cunt is not in jest and is meant to be malicious.

I will agree that the titles themselves are pretty inartful, but that is a topic we've been discussing piublicly on the board for the last couple of weeks. However, if you read the threads themselves, they include so fairly well thought out and civil arguments back and forth. Also, if you look for troll-type threads on the board (the type that bash Dave or other elements of the show), you'll see that the membership of this board does a really great job of self-policing, and lets those exhibiting troll-type behavior know, in no uncertain terms, when they disagree with those opinions. Banning and deleting are always options in those scenarios, and sometimes do get used, but it's even more effective to have the membership take action than to delete and ban, which is effectively putting your head in the sand and pretending that critical opinions don't exist.

Not everyone agrees about everything on the show, but the vast majority of people here are fans. That's the true character of the board, and it comes through on the board as a whole. I just don't think a cleanup overhaul of the board is warranted.
