I've been looking for a new Entertainment Center and I can't seem to find a decent one. Anyone know where I can find one that can hold my tv and my electronics, and comes in either black, metallic and/or glass to match the rest of my furniture?
It's really pissing me off that I can't find one and I have wires all over the place right now because I have no place to organize them.

ikea has a lot of great stuff like that. don't check the website, you're better off going to one of the stores.
target & wal-mart have some good stuff online, but i think ikea would have a bigger selection.

Gotta agree with everyone about Ikea. Hands down the most reliable place to find what you're looking for. That whole transportation of heavy materials is a bitch, but what are buddays for?

We used a metal shelving unit for our "entertainment center."
Got it at Home Depot. It's a matte silver metallic, but I have also seen them in black.
Easy to assemble in the configuration you need, relatively inexpensive and very durable.
And Ikea's entertainment centers are overpriced crap.

I never thought to try Home Depot. They have some interesting tv stands there that might work for me. I'll have to drive over there one day and check it out.
And I saw Overstock and a few other sites, but I prefer to see the furniture in person before I buy it to make sure I like the way it looks.

Jon I work for Home depot. Just go to www.homedepot.com and see what they have. If it is not in stock you might be able to special order it.
Either that or they can direct you to the nearest one with the stand you want in stock. (if they have something you might like)
Another place that might be good is Best Buy. I am almost certain I have seen entertainment sets on sale there as well.
And wouldn't Tiger Direct also sell them too?
Just a few suggestions.

i have to go with ikea as well and agree with going to their store. not cheap and/or poorly made. i don't specifically know about their entertainment unuts, but we recently got a china cabinet from there that we love and have bought many other items in the past (sofa, love seat, et al.).

No, the entertainment units are crappy, even if you look long and hard at them.
I will vouch for their other furniture, however, having purchased 3 bookcases, 1 desk, 1 coffee table, 2 computer chairs and 1 bedframe from them. (OK, so the bedframe wasn't the best, but it was enough to get started.)
