Best Event you attended

I have been to a few house shows, and a Nitro and a few PPV's so I was thinking of the best ones i went to and it would have to be

The very first ECW PPV that was held at the Bingo Hall, just amazing the energy that place had and the heat that the dudley's and Gertner had was simply amazing very memorable

I also had a great moment at teh first Bret Hart Nitro appearance, it was in Baltimore and we had ringside seats and remember heckling Bret Hart about losing to Jerry Lawler

The only event I have ever gone to.

CZW- Tournament of Death. It was on the property behind a bar in Delaware.

The fans bring their homemade weapons match was nuts, (light bulbs taped to bats, barbed wire on hammers, ect) The championship match between the Necro Butcher and no idea featured 8 tables stacked while lit on fire and these two lunatics jumped off of a garage through them on pavement.

for me, it was my first time at the ecw arena and it was when the sandman made his return after his failed run as "hak" in wcw. the place erupted when the lights went out, his music hit and he appeared.

actually i think it was shortly after she won one (hiding under the ring) and tried it again and lost at the end.

I was there that night, the noise was incredible. It was def. an intense night. But the best night I had was Wrestlemania in Toronto back in '02 I believe. The night the whole crowd flipped on The Rock and began cheering Hogan. It was a ton of fun and going out in Toronto afterwards was awesome.

One's I can remember.

Summerslam 1988 at the Spectrum Ultimate Warrior vs Rick Rude in a steel cage for the title.

Armageddon 1999 where Steph turned on Vince to accept her marriage to Triple H.

ECW house show in Ft Lauderdale, my freind has a picture of him with New Jack and we took a steel chair from the building.

Nitro in Miami where Bret Hart came back after a few months off after Owen's death.

WCSU Oneill center, it was the house show return of Shawn Michaels from his first back injury (I think) Diesel was champ at the time so figure out the timeline.

the first is special - Amityville Softball Game - met so many great people and i even got to pitch to Billy Staples

a close 2nd is seeing the boys 'came up from DC' perform a live show at the Hard Rock including catching Crankcase play some good music

1st - first time seeing the 3 original members of Grand Funk at The Beacon in 97. They had an orchestra from Bosnia behind them and Paul Schaeffer leading them. Not a big venue but it was Sold Out which was nice to see 20 years after breaking up

92 Rumble in Albany seeing Flair win the WWF title
97 Survivor Series in Montreal...card was kind of so-so but it was definitely historic.

Joe v. Kobashi was actually the first ROH show I went to. I've been to like 20 or so since then.

I went to all three nights of CHIKARA's King of Trios this year, and that was really awesome. ROH's Manhattan Mayhem II back in August was also great.

Only WWF PPV I ever went to was King of the Ring 2001, but that had the awesome Shane/Angle match and the great WWF Title triple threat with Austin, Jericho and Benoit with Booker T's debut.

I went to basically every RAW and SmackDown at the Meadowlands from 2000 thru 2004, however many that is, as well as one or two since then.

Oh and I went to a house show at the Garden a week before WrestleMania 17. It was 'Taker's birthday, and we actually had a luxury box. That was pretty awesome.

My first time at the ECW arena was huge as well. It was 9/20/97, "As Good As It Gets" with the Beulah vs. Bill Alfonso bloodbath.

I was also at MSG for Raw with the return of Cactus Jack.

The ROH shows at the New Yorker Hotel were some of the hottest shows I've ever been to. Plus ROH has allowed me to see some of my favorite Japanese wrestlers from over the years like Muta, Liger, Misawa and my all time favorite Kobashi.

Heh, that was my last time at the Arena for an ECW show.

Kinda hard to pin down one specific show as the best (unless you count the show 8 and I were married at, but that's more a favorite for personal reasons, rather than as a fan), and I've also been to far too many clunkers (WM 15, the Raw where fake Razor & faux Diesel debuted).

I will say that i was at UD in 94-95 and got to go see a bunch of events at the bingo hall (my buddy's roomates brother was part of Team Taz) and i saw

Kimona Wanna Leiya or whatever her name was strip on the top of the building

the night the guy in the stands got caught on fire

Tommy Dreamer hung from a meat hook (you could still see the blood stain at the first PPV)

eating at the fast food place (i think it was Wendy's) with Balls Mahoney

I went to all three nights of CHIKARA's King of Trios this year, and that was really awesome. .

King of Trios was one of the best wrestling weekends I've seen in a while (well until the recent ROH shows in Orlando). I was there as a vendor selling my wrestling comic book, Headlocked and Lince Dorado wore one of my shirts to the ring on Night 2 for both his matches....

i was at another raw at msg (i don't even remember any of the matches. terrible seats, too).

actually, the most memorable thing i can remember was from a house-show. the kane pyros from the ring posts were hot as hell (and we weren't even sitting that close). people at ring-side must leave with sunburn any time those things go off!

back in april of 02 at the blue cross arena in rochester ny. when hogan came back to wwe - just after that rock vs hogan ppv and it was the first show where hogan went back to the red and yellow. came out like 4 times with complete lights/fireworks and hendrix and the place went apeshit nostalgic with 10 minute standing ovations and chanting 'hogan..hogan'. kinda neat in a lame sort of way with the whole nostalgic love fest and all those sold out people going ballistic.

ooh an aside, a buddy paul got to be a "cop" when at a wcw show and the 4 horsemen were out there - the mcmichaels, anderson, flair and benoit horsemen - and he got to escort the horsemen out of the arena. pretty neat seeing the lineup out there together.

The best time was my first wrasslin show, 1980 at the Allentown PA. fairgrounds I was 9 yrs. old. i remember a kid named Curt Henning jobbing bad to someone, King Kong Mosca wrestled along with a lot of other stars of that era. The highlight was my fav. Andre vs. Killer Khan. The fairgrounds is an outdoor venue, I was in the bleachers watching the action when I saw Andre leaning against a fence, his arm was resting on top and his huge head was towering above everything. My friend and I ran down to the fence climbed up it and stared at him, I was to scared to ask for an autograph.

Multiple ECW events. I was there for the Al Snow head-throwing incident and I remember looking up into the crows nest and seeing Paul E. jumping around like a little kid because of how cool it looked.

I was there for the Lawler/Dreamer incident, as well as November to Remember when Taz started taxplexing EVERYONE and then the lights went out, and when they came back on, Sabu was in the ring doing his pose with Taz in the opposite corner.

Sadly I was at a show 2 weekends ago where Sandman was an embarrassment. He showed up BOMBED (and I mean bombed for Sandman... which is probably alcohol poisoning for someone else) He was stumbling around the ring, the promotion had to cancel the planned intermission polaroids, and after his match he got on the mic and said "I gotta be honest with you, I don't even know what town this is"

It's mildly amusing but not to the promotion that paid him...

That was the only PPV I was at as well. We had seats near the entrance. It was crazy seeing Angle trying 3 times to suplex Shane though the plexiglass KOTR sign. When he finally did it, you could tell Shane was hurting. You could see Angle asking Shane if he wanted to go through the other sign. Shane nodded and they did it again. This time on the first try. Great night!
