Holy shit, this movie was awful. The dialog was so forced and the entire script seemed like it was written by someone with zero creativity. And the acting was just abysmal. Not a single character showed any emotion at any time during the movie.

This really has to be one of the worst movies I've seen in a while, and I've recently watched Jumper.

I heard on the radio this morning (O&A i think) that it was released on DVD in Brazil like a year or two ago and is only now being released in theaters.

Maybe i got this wrong somehow though.

Yeah... this movie was a misfire. Even the commercial couldn't make it look all that interesting.

Hey Pacino, might be time to do DANCING WITH THE STARS next season after all.

He's done as an actor. There was one scene that should have been so emotional and moving and it was so amazingly fake and empty that it was laughable.

the funny thing is that the same director(Jon Avnet) has another movie with Pacino and Deniro coming out soon that has a good buzz.....Righteous Kill....so we'll see.

What is the last movie that Pacino played a character that wasn't Al Pacino? He's the same (yelling) guy in every movie now.

88 minutes was wacko in every way but mostly with the script.....
Pacino was excellent in Angels in America......
It's all in the quality of the script....if the script is excellent actors like Pacino, Deniro, and Nicholson have a chance at returning to top form.

Oooooh...

He looks like an overcooked chicken in this pic.

Also, Pacino seems to have done the same voice turn that Anthony used to make fun of with latter-day Popeye, going from more mild and nuanced to loud and abrasive.

Wikipedia says "The film began filming on October 8, 2005 and wrapped in December 2005", "The film was released on DVD in Israel in 2006" and "In May 2007, TriStar Pictures acquired all US distribution rights of 88 Minutes" so if that is true then they have been sitting on it for a while. That's a good sign!
