Yea well don't forget the next day is fathers day, and I will be playing a round of golf with my brother and sister and dad. That usually takes 4+ hours. So if I am half as sore as I was last time my golf game will be even MORE horrible then it ever was. (If that's possible)

We're a beer game with adults of varying (and questionable) ability. If a kid is old enough, we'll sub them in an inning, but it's mostly adults who act like children.

And if we do three games we would really have to start them alot sooner then 2 or three. We would have to start them at the latest 1pm. We have the field all day. From 12 until closing (dark)
And have a kill rule (as in...if it is like 20-0 by the 4th inning, kill the game).

But as we saw last year....even an 8 run lead is not a given.


But since most of us (myself included) are not so athletically inclined, 3 games might just do us in! (plus some people can't stay for the whole day, so the amount of people who can play might dwindle as the day goes on)

Yes dogs are allowed and there is a dog park (fenced in area) where you can bring him/her to run around for a little bit and play with other dogs. I have been there several times. alot of cool and lovable dogs.

I will start looking into what alternate days this summer we can have the game. (Saturdays mostly)

If it starts raining at midnight on Friday night going into Saturday morning, and the rain continues even until 9 or 10 am and still stops, the field will not be playable.

So this might be a last down-to-the-wire game time decision.

I'll keep you all posted on alternate days (ie; what days are still open this summer)

hmm... shit... this really snuck up on me. Im going to rack my brains for how i can make it there on such short notice... it was a lot easier last year because I lived like 5 minutes away (as does Lily, which is how i managed to drag her).

On a serious note, great day, great games, great food and great timing (just beat a pretty solid storm).



Some of my favorite moments:

-Hippo avoiding the second strikeout of the series by an inch which he quickly follows up with a victory leap which helps aid the other team get him out (ground out).

-Randy fielding like your average Chelsea ladyboy afraid to chip a nail.

-The Orange ball of K!

-Blackjesus smoking at the plate and not getting me one last at bat (you bastard)!

-Justjon's discuss throw from second to first (deep right field) that JUST missed.

-The family ripping Justice as they walked to their cars in left field for never reaching the outfield when he batted so there was no need to delay the game!

-The Staten Island Ferry's marc with a k comment.

-Dark Hippie's home run trot/top speed.....and the pulled heart muscle.

I did strike out, but I did hit a couple of deep deep foul balls during the same at bat before the big whiff.

Well after finally finishing this weekend out I was not NEARLY as sore as I thought I was going to be.

Oh well...no longball for me..except that nice line drive to left field that spoon couldn't handle and helped me make it a nice double. Nice catch there butterfingers!:thumbup:
