I have really enjoyed the show more of late and Opie has been great the past two months and funny. He made the statement about two months ago that said he found his love for radio again and is really trying again. He clearly has willed the show to a great improvement.

Anyone that has listened to this show on a regular basis for the past two years knows the story of Ben Sparks. He spit on a Stern fan, said he didnt, and O&A security tackled him and held him down. Ben kept lying and lying and Opie stuck up for him. Eventually it came out he did it and had to be fired. Opie dropped little hints here and there about trying to help him and maybe bringing him back. Eventually the hints turned. Opie started mentioning that he was getting bugged and harassed by him (without naming his name). Even during this Opie had no problem with replays that involved Ben and jokes and riffs involving him.
Then that story comes out today. Opie talks about how loyal he is to his employes and former ones and based on his track record it is obviously true. And based on what I have heard from accounts of Ron and Fez and Opie and Anthony events, his chick seems extremely down to earth and nice to all the fans despite not wanting to be involved with anything on air on 202.
I for one can't wait to see Richard Johnson, Ben, and Chaunce Hayden get their asses sued.

Also, O&A mentioned that this ex-employee had serious problems that they had talked about addressing with an intervention. Anthony even mentioned cocaine. Norton used to make jokes on-air about Ben and purported cocaine use quite frequently.

Ok, having listened to the replay and hearing what was said, I think it's beyond a shadow of a doubt true that the culprit is the one and only Ol' Gravy Legs. I won't name names if that's somehow a legal infringement, but this seemed predictable given this guy's shitty attitude.

1) He never went along with the ribbing or the jokes, indicating he had really thin skin and thus wasn't someone who should have been working with O&A in the first place.

2) Anybody who opens up a bathroom window and keeps it open during winter is a sociopath

3) His father evidently is some really rich important guy, so it's probable that this kid's fiscal future was not threatened by his firing from XM so this whole grudge thing is strictly on a personal sociopathic level and therefore borne out of not a single understandable reason beyond the whole 'insane' argument

4) Near to the end of his stupid little career, he stormed into the studio and directly threatened Jim Norton with violence on the air, then justified his bad temper as being the result of Jim bragging about how much money he and O&A were making over the behind-the-scenes crew.

5) He combed his hair with a cyclonic bat full of rusty nails, so he's clearly an unstable insane sonuvabitch.

In his defense he did have the reputation for having Big Doodies.

Fuck this prick. He was only funny when he was a punchline, and rarely contributed to the O&A show. I don't feel bad at all that he's proven his colors officially, unlike Rick Delgado who up until recently I had been a fan of.

I'm a big Opie fan and I mirror Mikeyboy's remarks that he has really stepped up his game. So often of late Opie has served up a bit for Anthony that ends up amazing. He throws in some lines of his own along the way as well.

It is unfortunate that people get so desperate for money that they turn on their friends. Sadly, a person's true colors show at times like these and whomever this turncoat is has certainly shown his. Additionally, Chaunce has shown himself for a PR seeking leach....again.

I hope Opie and Lindsey don't let nonsense like this poison their relationship. Sadly, this sort of thing is in part a product of the success Opie & Anthony have had and though this may be the worst possible example, it won't be the last time someone tries a gimmick like this.

That said, Why do all these guys drag there families into the show? Its not just O&A, its almost everyone in radio. This is the type of shit you expose them too by even mentioning a first name. Unless I missed something from the replay because I didn't get to hear everything but when this was discussed I took this part as a joke..that they really don't care about Bam. At this point I feel really sorry for those involved because if it's not true they NY Post is probably going to be the GH Post. It's not like this kind of crap happens to "normal" people it's just sleezy. If you think about it...even if the tape does exist..who is going to care...would you stop listening?
