They are prob my fav band. I love how they blend old school Delta Blues with a modern sound. There is honestly not one song of theirs that I dont like.Their new album,Attack and Release, they switched it up a little(Danger Mouse produced it)but they still kept there gritty sound.Im going to see them at Terminal 5 in Manhattan in mid-May. I saw them about two years ago and they were even better live.Any fans?

A while back, my friend gave me a bunch of cds. They were one of them. While I haven't sat down and gave the album a good listen(i'm guessing their first), from what I've heard they sounded pretty cool.

My friend turned me on to them over 3 years ago. Good for them that they're blowing up. They deserve it... Incidentally, I heard one of their songs used on a commercial about 2 years ago. I can't remember what it was a commercial for, but I was floored when I heard it. Nobody had ever heard of them when I asked yet here they were on a commercial.

I like them a lot, bit I definitely prefer them on my iPod shuffle as opposed to listening to a whole album in one go. They get a bit same-y for me after about 5-6 songs in a row.

Yeah, Ike passed away before they could finish it. But he was able to put lyrics and guitar solos to some songs. Let's hope we get to hear that one day.

Black Keys To Release Ike Turner Tracks
http://images.q4music.com/content/q/theqdaily/160x120/blackkeys160x120.jpg
Tracks from the collaboration between The Black Keys and Ike Turner could be released before the end of the year, the band said.
In an interview for Q Radio to be broadcast on Tuesday (June 3), Dan Auerbach said the material was “amazing”.
Turner died in December at his home near San Diego in California after working on the tracks with produder Danger Mouse.
Auerbach told Q Radio’s QPM presenter Samanthi: “There’s a good single’s worth of songs – they’re pretty amazing. They’ll come out eventually. I’m sure that will come out this year.”
The collaboration took place remotely he added. “We never met him but we recorded songs in our hometown and we sent them to Los Angeles to Brian (Burton AKA Danger Mouse) and he had Ike come up and sing and play guitar on a few of them.”

Pat Carney looks like he's going to spontaneously combust behind the drums.
And Dan Auerbach's new solo album "Keep It Hid" sounds fantastic; have heard about five songs from it on kexp.org.
