Yes, this man is seeking the Republican (did I have to say that) nomination for Congress in Indiana's 2nd district. He is speaking at the American National Socialist Workers Party convention in Chicago (and we all hate Illinois Nazis) on Sunday, April 20th, which just happened to be Der Fuhrer's birthday. So why would he do this?

"I'll speak before any group that invites me," Zirkle said Monday. "I've spoken on an African-American radio station in Atlanta."

Oh, I see. Well, given the fact that this piece of human dogshit has proposed segregating different races in different speeches, and he said his speech at the swastika party was to "talk on his concern about 'the targeting of young white women and for pornography and prostitution.'" (my emphasis; I guess Asian porn is safe, which we should all be glad about), it's hard to imagine that he doesn't sympathize.

Before you think this guy's a crank, he got 30% of the vote in his last election.

PS David Duke won a majority of the white vote when he ran for governor in Louisiana in the '90's, so while it DOES make you a bad person, this kind of stuff doesn't necessarily mean you're going to lose your election. :glurps:

Fascism is not necessarily racist in nature. Brazilian fascism was based in multiculturalism (probably out of necessity). A lot of ideologies can lead to genocide, but fascism is statist in most affairs and laissez-faires in economic affairs. I'm not defending fascism, but it isn't always racist. A heavy-handed government is a bad idea without bringing ethnicity into the fold.

Isn't the swastika origin story like saying the Japanese symbol in WWII was acceptable because we all need the sun to survive?
