ESD's Ability To Make Ron Laugh

Has anyone else taken notice of how much Dave legitimately makes Ron laugh? Ron is admittedly not a big laugher, but it seems that ESD can get him going pretty easliy; and not with the "shock" stuff.

I think that's one thing some of the people that blindly hate ESD overlook. Is, aside from the shit and stunts and things, he's a legitimately funny dude.

And yeah, anytime Ron laughs, it makes me laugh harder.

As you can see from the videos from Dean and Franklyn, his facial expressions, and other physical attributes make what he's doing even funnier to watch.

Fucktwat the Clown is one of the funniest things I have heard on the show in a long time. ESD is hilarious and the show is much stronger with him on the air. There was one day that he was gone and I missed him. Not only is he very funny and pretty quick but he adds an energy. There is definitely a large gap there when he isn't on the show.

I was thinking about this listening to the replay on my way in this morning...I think its the fact that he answers Ronnys questions with answers that catch Ron by surprise.....Daves laugh is also great......Ya know I always wonder if they ever received the cd i sent them...It is so great to hear Ronny laugh at David...:thumbup:

For a while now, this has been The Ron and Dave with Fez show.

Barring unexpected changes, I believe we are well past the ESD-just-filling-in-to help-Fez era...not just in ron's stance (and i don't doubt his "we'll shut this thing down if thats what it takes to help Fez"), but perhaps more tellingly, among many newer listeners, callers, posters etc.

I wasn't listening closely, but didn't a caller this week ask Dave for his opinion on some game-show Q?....to ESD's on-going credit, he seemed unhappy with that ( for all his over-eagerness at times, he is in a very difficult work situation with all this too), and Fez waited professionally to only add a comment without jumping in.

Still the best thing going, and i personnally feel ESD's energy is absolutely essential, but i would prefer the R+F w/D show.

This site (also still the best thing going, Kudos Mikeyboy, Hottub et al..), imo is also increasingly reflecting the on-going shift - even if longer-time posters tend to dominate, inevitable audience turnover over time is obvious.

I used to listen to Ron and Fez daily back when I lived in D.C. and they were on WJFK. Fez was hilarious and played of off Ron perfectly. When they were on a roll, Ron and Fez had me laughing so hard I would have to pull the car over. I stopped listening for awhile, moved up to NYC, and now have started to listen again and it is a different show. Fez is still funny but Dave is essential to keep the energy up. I think Fez is fantastic and I really like the guy. I hope he works through some of the crap he is dealing with. I am, however, finding it a bit tiresome having Ron talk about Fez's neuroses so often. Don't get me wrong. I think it is interesting radio, Ron makes some excellent points, and I really want Fez to get better. The energy level of the show, however, drops dramatically when Fez talks about his problems. Not only does the energy drop but I feel serious deja vu during these conversations. Ron makes the same points over and over and Fez just agrees and I have to check to make sure I'm not listening to a Best of. Dave is key in bringing the show back up at these times. Many times when Ron is playing Fez's therapist, I am thinking, please, please bring on Fucktwat the Clown.

I casually listened to Ron & Fez up until what instantly got me hooked. It was when ESD was playing Clownie for Fez's niece when she was ins studio. That instantly got me hooked to the show, and I have Ronny B and ESD's interaction to thank for that.

i made ron laugh once. during the whatley posse storm of zmans blog. i wrote the comment 'youre never coming on my show again. Dr. Ron Bennington esq.' and h read it on air and laughed. it was the single greatest moment of my life.

Dave is a nice guy and is enjoyable at times, and he gets an A+++ for effort. However, I must admit that, to me, Fez when he is doing well is infinitely funnier and more entertaining than Dave. When running on all (or most) cylinders, Fez's talent and comedic timing can make anything funny. I really miss the regular interaction between Ron and Fez and their combined comedic genius.

I really want him to get better, even if he never does the show again.

P.S. - From what I heard of Friday's show, Fez was tremendous and sounded really good.

At this point I don't see how you can listen to the show if you aren't a fan of ESD, he is so integral. That being said towards the end of the week I thought there was a nice combo of all 3. Fez wasn't being drowned out by Dave, there was good interplay. Anyone else think that the key might be that Fez shouldn't sleep?

Thinking back...the only time I can remember Fez make Ronnie laugh since XM is when Fez announced he was dating Dawn Cumia.......Anthony's sister...Ron even mentions that Fez made him blow his bit by laughing

I wish I would have be a listener back in the day...when Fez is feeling good and snippy...he's hilarious
